Nintendo is pretty good about fixing your devices. I had to send in my 3DS a few months back because it was leaving small scratches in the top screen where the top and bottom screens came into contact when it was closed. They gave me a brand new one and transferred all my stuff over and sent it back to me within a few days. The entire process was free. Just make sure you sign up for a Club Nintendo account and register your Wii U and they might offer a similar options for repairing the Gamepad.

Im sort of concerned with how comfortable the gamepad will be to use. Honestly, I'm a simple gamer and like the old SNES gamepads. I hope they release a simple pad in the future for those of us who don't need all the extra stuff when playing specific games. Especially on games you can get through the E-store.

You can already use the classic gamepad controller from the Wii or buy the pro gamepad controller for the Wii U
