How could you forget Guardian Heroes ?
They already tried to do something like this recently. The results were quite underwhelming.
Panzer Dragoon - This game blew me away when I got it on my Saturn way back when. Using the gyroscopic features of the gamepad could work well with the on the rails style shooter. This combined with next gen graphics would be lights out.
