Ok, so this is coming from someone that has never really done much gaming shopping on Black Friday. For those that have, would you mind posting your experiences with it? Like, what precautions should we take and what kinds of sales do you expect for consoles, handhelds, etc. Just go all out with your experiences. I need a good idea on what to prepare for, and also requesting a day off. ;p

Ive never gone BF shopping either but all I'd say is to make sure you know what you want far in advance and scour all the ads looking for deals, search the internet, the paper, commercials, everything, do plenty of research and then get there reasonably early, idk if you necessarily have to camp out or any of that but just don't get there 5 mins before the doors open and expect to get whatever you want.

I've never gone shopping on Black Friday and never will....Why? I've worked at Best Buy and Sears among other places on Black Fridays past...and It's a nightmare...after 4-5pm its dead but, what you want is most likely gone by 8am lol. Since I like you...avoid it like you would avoid a fat leper strip club.


Then again...i guess you haven't lived until you seen a man nearly trampled to death by an over zealous mob of shoppers hell bent on grabbing that CD for $5 or an old woman assault a man with a purse to get the last camera...

no dont think like that!! when u hear "what u want will be gone by 8am" then u know someone is succeeding in getting what they want at that time. BE THAT PERSON!!! don't let that person beat you!!

Was 8am an exaggeration? I live in Woodbridge, VA, and the Gamestop/Best Buy isn't too far from where I'm at. I wouldn't say I live in a bustling town, but I know I ain't the only gamer, so I'm sure there will be a rush. I'm 6'3" and quite hefty; I could hold my own against crowds of people with my Shoulder Tackle technique, so there's that.

I don't know How gamestop is, but people are lined up at Best Buy at like 4am. Look for Cyber Thursday deals. A lot of places do all the same black Friday deals on their websites the day before

I do all my black friday video game and movie shopping online amazon has crazy deals and this year best buy is going to match amazons prices for the holidays.

I've never gone BF shopping. Although, I might this year, with a few friends.
