Is it possible to transfer all the memory from your internal memory to an external hard drive? 'cause I don't want to start all my progress over once I get more memory.

Get a USB 3.0 for sure. If u wanna go cheap buy a usb 3.0 enclosure and a hdd of ur choice
Why ? The Wii U doesn't even support USB 3.0. Any USB 3.0 HD is just going to run at the speed of USB 2.0 so it's just waste of the extra cost.

A 3.0 would be useful if you plan on using the HDD with more than the Wii U. Plus it'll be "futureproof" when you finally decide to re-purpose it years down the road. Maybe newer consoles will use 3.0. Assuming the bit extra you pay for 3.0 is cheaper than buying a whole new 1TB HDD by then anyways. Why ? The Wii U doesn't even support USB 3.0. Who said I will be using it for just for the Wii U? I will be using this hard drive for other things and when I get something that use usb 3.0 I will be able to take advantage of it.

Yes but by them you will probably buy a bigger and better HD. It's quite possible SSD's might become larger and more affordable.

Ehh I dunno, I can see a few years of it being handy before being obsolete. 1TB+ is a lot of data. It can hold movies for a home theater, will obviously be useful for PCs, etc before SSD gets cheap enough.Yes but by them you will probably buy a bigger and better HD.
