Who's really gonna pre-order the console? It's odd that people pre-order a console and give $400-$800 to a random site and expect the console in return. Anyone else find it odd? Personally I'd get the console at the store where it won't be around $800.. lmao

I don't preorder consoles and handhelds before they have an official launch date and price for my country, especially if I don't know a whole lot about it.

With that said, as if this moment, I can't say whether I will or will not preorder the Wii U. So far, I am somewhat interested in it and most likely will get it... maybe at launch or maybe not. It all depends on what will be available on and for it at first.

I'm not pre-ordering one at the moment for several reasons:
-There's been no confirmed release dates or prices.
-We still don't know that much about the console.
-I don't know what games will be available for it at launch.

I'll preorder the same month as release, sooner if there is a big fuss about it. Did that the 3DS (though it is pretty much just an MP3 player for me right now).

Not right now, most likely next year around the time of release i will pre-order it. Also there is the fact of me having enough money for now.

I am not going to until I find out what games are coming out for it, the full extent of the graphics, and the full price gets revealed. I would not preorder it now, it will cost alot more. Although it might be a long way away, it will be worth it.

people are unpredictable. The ones who just can't wait will do that. Those who are misinformed will do that. I really don't see why it is allowed for any company to do that as a price hasn't been giving. I can't speak for other countries but I do know in the U.S. that is false advertising.

I am no doubt going to pre-order the Wii U, but only after an official date is announced by Nintendo themselves.

I don't think I'll be pre-ordering it. I will, however, probably get one close to SSB4's release date. I am in no hurry.

So, by the looks of it, expect me to have the console somewhere between 2013 and 2015 at the latest.

I never preorder consoles, luckly where I live I can always go in on day one and pick up the console without a hassle.

The only console I ever pre-ordered was the N64, because it gave me Mario 64 and a real Pilotwings game on day one, with Shadows of the Empire right on their heels. Those games BLEW MY MIND at the time, especially Mario. I'm just not sure that they could impress me again in the same way, and if they could, it would *probably* take more than a Mario game.

If they give me a game that revolutionizes my play experience, I'll put money down tomorrow. Until they do, I'll wait and see what the catalog looks like a few months after release. I have not been genuinely impressed (in the way that Mario 64 impressed me) by a game since Gears of War, and that makes me sad... sad that it was Epic/Microsoft and not Nintendo that impressed me, and sad that Nintendo really hasn't stepped up to the plate in the intervening time.

The idea of Wii and its motion controls excited me, but the experience itself didn't live up to its promise (though I have had some pretty enjoyable moments with Wii Sports and Red Steel 2)... what I really wanted, a GOOD, realistic baseball experience, never came. The idea of the 3DS really excited me... but what do I play on it? Can Nintendo really not come up with anything more revolutionary (in terms of actual gaming experience) than what they did 15 years ago? I'm not looking for a "good" game... I'm looking for a game that fills me with wonder - a game that transports me. I would say that I'm being unrealistic if Nintendo hadn't done it before...

Come on big N, impress me!
