No, it's pretty much under-rated.
That's what happens to long-running popularised shounen anime.

It's enjoyable, but not worthy of how much attention it gets over other shows.

all i know is that death note is underrated, sure pretty much everyone who sees it loves it but not enough people have seen it

It's not over-rated. The sad thing is, most people hate on it, just because it's long running.

Apparently if a manga/anime is long running, it's bad.

It's really good.

Congratz with 1000 posts. I reached 500 a couple of days ago.

I have never really watched it, I've never considered it to be over-rated. That Goku thing looks a bit over-rated though, it's kind of annoying.

Fight scenes
popular anime:
80% flash back / Explanation
20% fight

good anime:
100% fight
Explanation after the fight

Excellent anime:
100% fight (No unnecessary pause)
We figure it out ourselves cause its so well done

Naruto is great from a manga standpoint - if you only watch the anime then I can see you thinking its over-rated..in which case..the anime is...fillers have really stretched it out beyond what is necessary.

Naruto is a weird anime, because it shouldn't be called Naruto.

From what I hear, the current manga arcs are focused on anyone but Naruto.
