"Do I look like a compass, whippersnapper?... Oh. I see it. Let's go!"

"Hellloooooo?..... yeah, I'm following them..... Checkaroo on the map..... I HOPE it's the sword, and not some complex puzzle... thing.... Kay..... Kay.... Call ya back. Bye Boss."

Rundas spots two people heading through one of the many tunnels in Death Mountain and decides to see what they're up to. He starts throwing ice in air and slides down to where they are to speak to them. "Sup? I've been following you two for a while and I' guessing you're a bit lost. What are you after?"

"Control over ice, eh? Mighty cool."
"Oh, sorry. Manners shouldn't leave with age. I'm Lobber, and this fella here is looken for some sort of... magic arrow? I think. It's in this maze of tunnels if his map is any good."

[Epic Kirby]

A mysterious figure suddenly appears, a silver mask covering his face, a golden sword glittering in his hand and a dark purple cloak fluttering behind him in the wind. He peered at Link, Rundas and the lobster.

"It is a sword he is after" Meta Knight said solemnly.

[Philip Draco]

"HEEH? Oh, right. Silly m- WAIT A MINUTE! Who's that?"

Before Meta Knight can introduce himself, Old Man Lobber bumps into a burly Goron blocking the entrance to one of the tunnels.
"If you wish to gain access to the Hall of the Legendary Sword, you must first answer a riddle."
Everyone shares a glance and nods as Link turns to the Goron and accepts his offer.
"What is the riddle, O rocky, brown one?"
The Goron pulls out a slip of paper and his reading glasses as he begins to read off the ancient riddle...

"...Why did the Goron cross the road?"

"Cause it was being chased by Volvagia the Dragon!.... err.. was it a chicken? Eh whatever, it ate gorons either way."

The Goron sighs and steps away from the tunnel, allowing the heroes to move along.

"Yay! Thank you......Um.. Whats your name again?"

"My name is Darius, and I am the royal guard of the Legendary Sword. Since you have correctly answered my riddle, I will join your party and help you on your quest."

"wait, who answered the riddle right?"

"WHAT IN TARNATION WAS THAT?"

"Oh. just a duck."

"(QUACK? WHAT WAS I THINKING?)"
"(...eh, besides, How was I to know there'd be a giant pile of easily tipped over rocks in my hiding place?)"
"(Just keep following them and hope no one figures it out.)"

Rundas stared at the duck for a moment. He turned away and started to shake his head as he muttered "ducks don't live up in the mountains."

Link: "Maybe it's a helping duck?"

"Zzzzzz......zz....hu-What? Oh. Sorry. Fell asleep... Anyway, Green boy here's knows where the arrow is, so ask him if you wana join Darry."

Darius turned to Link and asked if he could join the party, even going to such lengths as to promise him a lifetime supply of Goron-O's (a popular Goron cereal.)

Before Link could answer, a figure stepped out from the darkness. "Couldn't help but notice that you guys are on some kind of quest..." May i join? The figure stepped into the light. It didn't make much of a difference. It was...(pause, for effect...) THE DARK LINK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I know i am traditionally your enemy, but this time, i would like to help. It seems like the least i could do to say that i'm sorry for trying to kill you all the time. So, what do you say?"
