What does this mean? They're not going to rush it for launch and release a refined update later. Sega said one of the troubles about being a launch title is they wont have voice chat. Thats why it wont have voice chat, voice chat will be tied to Miiverse somehow. Probably similar to Xbox live.

:shrugs: That's fine, just so long as we get it soon after launch.

Just as a side-thought, why does a non-open world racer need voice chat? Seems...superfluous.

No, all was said that Miiverse will not be available on Nintendo 3DS, Mobile, and PC when the Wii U launches. Unless Nintendo specifically says, "Miiverse will not make launch" then we will have Miiverse at launch

miiverse is part of the OS so it must be included somehow at launch even if its a primitive verion and will get an upgrade later, but i still hoping for a system-wide chat voice app update

Black Ops 2 and Assassin's Creed 3 WILL have voice chat at launch!!! Miiverse will not be an android/apple app at launch day. there are other issues with being a launch title that make it hard to get voice chat on the system that doesnt necessarily mean miiverse won't be available. that doesn't make sense since its built into the system

Just what i was going to post.
He said since its browser base you may not be able to join Miiverse from your 3ds, pc etc.......

So i dont see any proof that it wont be able on day one.
And since there is launch games with online play. I am willing to bet it will be out day one so you can make your user name and get everything setup on the system.

But we wont know for sure until something is confirmed or launch day.

What he meant by that was the smartphone versions, as previously stated at e3 2012, by Iwata.
Miiverse will be though.

I don't know guys. Even if it is available at launch for the Wii U it still wont be available for smartphones or the 3DS. I think this implies that all the features wont be available at lauch... But I guess he doesn't outright say it wont be available for the Wii U... My bad...

Like everyone else has said. He probably just meant that the internet, smartphone and 3DS versions of Miiverse won't be out at the Wii U launch. A huge detail like this ( Miiverse not at launch) likely wouldn't have been mentioned at just E3. Still sure that Miiverse will make launch for the Wii U.

I admit that's possible. I don't think we will get all the Miiverse features at launch though. I wish they would explain what that 1 gig of ram for the OS will do exactly!

Sorta.... We don't know exactly how it will be utilized yet. Hopefully there will be party chat. PLEAASE!

since that rumor said the gamepad dint have the mic for chat, im not trusting that rumor.
