I ordered my wii u deluxe the first day gamestop online put them up now my question is this Will I be gurantted a system day 1 since I ordered day 1 before they stopped taking orders. I also have 2 games at amazon I would hate for those games to ship then get charged money for them if gamestop cancels my order or dont ship it. What you guys think I should do I was thinking about canceling the games at amazon and just see if my system ships. If my wii u dont ship out Iordered 1 day shipping I think Iwill cancel it and use tha tmoney to put towards the new Imac.

At my EB Games store (not online), they are selling the Wii U in order that you pre-ordered them. So since I was the first one in the store to pre-order, I'm guaranteed to get one on day 1. If they get 20 Deluxe and 20 Basic, for example, then the first 20 people who pre-ordered one of either will get one. Of course every store has a waiting list by now, and I'm guessing that they will also go in order that you were put on the list.

However for online, I honestly don't know. Logically, they took enough orders for their first shipment and closed them once they reached the max amount they were told they'd be given. I've always disliked the idea of that preorder system. What if #2 doesn't show up until the next day? Shouldn't it just be first come first serve in preorder waves?

They have 72 hours to pick up their pre-order I believe. Personally I like this way of doing it. Say if you were number 2 and you didn't pick yours up and they sold it to someone else, how would you feel then?

Thr way it works is by first come.
So if there is 21 perorders but only 20 systems. It will go in order. So if ur number 21 you gotta wait for second shipment..
Now 20 preorders 20 systems ot doesnt matter because your system is on hold for you. Second wave people (waiting list and walkins) will have to wait.
I have been to gamestop/eb games, to pick up a preorder that hasy name amd phone number tape to it. Once i pick it up they cross it off there preorder paper and scan the recipe out the system as a pickup.

I pre-ordered the Wii U deluxe bundle from Walmart.com back on Sep. 19th with standard shipping. At that time the estimated arrival date was 11/29. Yesterday I got the email from Walmart.com saying the date has changed to 11/26, which is what other people are reporting and actually earlier than what I expected. The fact that there was a change at all in shipping date or arrival date probably sent out an automated email to everyone who has pre-ordered. And if you pre-ordered from Walmart.com, then you should be expecting some sort of wait in the first place. It's only a difference of a few days and is just an estimate. I don't understand the need to worry about it all.

If I didn't pick it up in time guaranteed then I couldn't complain. But I wouldn't want to wait a day to buy my system if I were #3 like how the post suggests. Unless you weren't being literal "in the order preordered". As I said, isn't it supposed to be preorder waves? First 20 people are the first wave, and #20 can buy before #1 if they get there first. I just dislike when people think being in the top 10 matters, when really you can be anywhere within the first wave of shipment and still be able to get it "first".

The only reason that I am worried is because I called them after the email, and the lady told me not to be surprised if I get a cancellation email.

Sorry, that's basically what I meant, shoulda worded it differently . But yeah If you were in the first 20 (if your store is getting at least 20 for launch day) who pre-ordered, then you are guaranteed one, and doesn't matter what order you get there at the store. Everyone else has to wait for another shipment.

I pre ordered at Walmart (by doing the lay away thing). Was pleased that they are doing a midnight launch.
The guy said to just come to the lay away counter at midnight to pick up your console.

Im not going to worry about it I should have it no later than tuesaday wit hthe 1 day shipping i chose if it comes great if it dosent than I iwll just wait.

I preordered the deluxe version from walmart.com on October 16th and was initially charged for the full price so that they could check to make sure my card was good.

Now this morning, I check my statement and they have applied the charge a second time.

Anyone that ordered from their site notice the same?

Yeah, that is what they did for me but then put a processing charge again on my order this morning. Their customer support has been nothing but useless just pasting a script to me responses after I repeatedly clarified this was the second time they have placed this charge.

I ordered my Deluxe Wii U on 9/16 and paid for rush shipping. My order on my Walmart.com account page says "Processing" and states it will arrive on 11/20.

I did not order a "bundle", just the Deluxe console.

If they cancel my order there will be hell to pay.
