Weird, most of the games will have already been out by the time the Wii U launches.They're talking about spoilers for launch games, not the console itself.
I'm thankful ( ironic, since the Wii U comes out 4 days before Thanksgiving here) that the Wii U comes out closer here. It's very special when it's actually Japan getting the console last.

Why? What if the console turns out to be the biggest piece of crap that ever existed? We would have a heads up. 
Relax, it's only 12 days, I'm sure you'll find something to do in the meantime. I found Guild Wars 2, lots of Guild Wars 2, lots of it.. I mean like 40 hours in 3 days (WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING TO ME?)

I'm kinda glad we're getting it first. NOA is awful when it comes to localization and we often miss out on a lot of games. I think it's only fair we get it first, plus the wait isn't even long.
