Some of us already know this but im making a thread about it

Kurisu: I want people to try Miiverse just by itself, and also try posting to Miiverse from games. If you spot a cool scene, you can post a screenshot by pressing the HOME Button. I truly hope people will actively participate in the communities tied to particular games.

Iwata: After you press the HOME Button, you can go from the HOME Button Menu to Miiverse. The game screen that was displayed at the time will be saved as a screenshot that you can post, right?

Kurisu: Yes. There's a spoiler button, too. We've designed it so that people who don't want to see spoilers won't have to.

Iwata: There's also a way to report something that you feel is a spoiler so it should be hidden.

Kurisu: Yeah. I hope people will make use of such features and enjoy aspects of Miiverse that connect to the games.



then you can post the screen in that specific game board on Miiverse like in the picture






Imagine all that you can do with the screenshots.... Ask for help about something, trying to make an impresive pic and send it to a friend, or just capture the amazingness of the landscape of some games and shown em to the people on the internet. I think the people will make true art with that!

It's just so awesome, a facebook group equivalent for each game, I hope third parties use it because if I understand correctly, third parties have to host the servers for the miiverse for their games so it's optional to have it or not

It's just so awesome, a facebook group equivalent for each game, I hope third parties use it because if I understand correctly, third parties have to host the servers for the miiverse for their games so it's optional to have it or not

i think every game on the wii u will have theyr own forum-board like because thats made and hosted by nintendo, one thing is the miiverse "outside" the games or the social nertwork lets call it because is part of the OS, and another different thing is to have miiverse integration INSIDE the game like this example



and this second thing is what is up to developers to integrate or not, but outside the game i think every game will have theyr own board in miiverse, and you can do a screenshot of any game.

or atleast i hope so but i think this is the way it makes more sense.

Yes I agree, I hope it's the way you described it but I just imagined that might be too expensive for nintendo to host for every single game from third parties included. But who knows, hopefully you're right

Sounds convoluted and it's not actually saving the screenshot to your console, just posting it to the miiverse.
I like how they say they designed spoiler buttons.

He's exactly right. Smartphones are good for gaming, but they're not perfect. They just don't have the same things you can do on an actual portable console, or home console.
