The sequel was just terrible.

Death Note is 50 times better than Highschool of breasts bouncing everywhere and a few zombies every so often dead.

Naruto is better than fairytail because they're both bad.

Guilty Crown.
It's shorter than pretty much all the anime mentioned here but the plot and music and characters touch my little old heart. Even now numerous scenes drive me almost to tears. The ending is a highly disputed subject but personally, as someone who has written complex stories and scripts and had to wrap up many characters and plot points, I appreciate the ending very much.

I'd vote DBZ too for the same reason as you. Never saw GT so I wouldn't know how good it is. Btw you're profile pic scares me now.
