I dont like how they said it probably wont be able to cater to the hardcore gamer and how they screwed up the little things like voice chat and no head set jack for the pro controller I guess there kind of wright but it will still be a great system

Don't even bother. The fact that the multimedia features aren't ready at launch is clearly effecting the review.

On the Gamepad there is. On the pro-controller there isn't.

Nobody even cares when they review software anymore.

Without the day one patch, it's hard to give the Wii U a fair shake. Without it, the Wii U doesn't live up to its potential and really can't do anything besides play Wii U Games.

Just pure brilliance from IGN again.

How much your willing to bet the wii u will support bluetooth headset or some will make a headphone jack to bluetooth adapter for the wii u.

but these are small things that can be fixed. The system isnt even born yet give it time.

They've been reviewing hardware for a while.

I remember when they reviewed the PSP and 3DS. But anyway, IGN is a joke when it comes to reviews or articles in general.

headphone jacks are what's called "dumb ports", they don't have the ability to host services like bluetooth.
Sing Party coming with a USB microphone should strike a few matches in the heads of IGN editors though, unlikely I know.

I'd recommend Eggplante.com but that would be a bit self-serving, I think.

Either way, you need to keep in mind that IGN's review is in fact a review in progress, and you'll notice they're not really commenting on hardware and rather making vague impressions at this point.

Nintendo has actually embargoed the media from releasing hardware reviews until 12:01 PST on Sunday morning, and there's no way IGN will break that.

It is dangerous to read a review of a product half-way through, because there is a lot that could surprise in the first few days. Of course, there is also the fact that IGN is just one site. Imagine if all you read was GameSpot's Skyward Sword review and how you might think the game isn't nearly as good as it really is.

No I don't. I have no connections to the gaming industry regards the journalist side or development and publishing. Unlike you and some other people I respect the fact that opinions will differ between people whether I agree with them or not. If you and others don't agree then fair enough, at least you should act a little mature and accept that fact. Some of the responses here are just plain immature and ridiculous.

To be fair that's just my opinion on IGN, I've been going off them for a while, we got off on the wrong foot yesterday and I'm sorry for that, I appologise for my behaviour
