I'm a bit concerned about these air bubbles on the disc. I have never had that in any of my Blu-rays or DVDs. Should I return the game in exchange for a new one?

The bubbles appear on the top center.

Hmmm.... It should work. I guess you will only be able to tell after launch day.

As long as it's not on the portion with the data you should be good to go.

Where exactly is the data stored? I thought it would be in the center of the disc.

The bubbles are on the inner ring right? The clear plastic part?

Data is stored on the outer ring base. I believe the only purpose for the inner ring is to allow it to cling onto a clip (and for your finger :P)

Yep.

Now the REAL reason the inner ring exists is to keep gamers from being single for the rest of their lives. ;)

I was also worried that it could damage the Laser Lens.

It won't. You're worrying to much. And by the way it's defective and not defected.

The laser doesn't read the plastic bits, should be okay. Might make the disc less structurally sound, but the Wii U's reader probably doesn't spin the disc fast enough for it to come apart.

The disc can always be exchanged if it looks faulty for peace of mind or once its played in the Wii U there is some sort of issue. There shouldn't be though.

Thanks for your reply and the correction, lol. I didn't notice that until you mentioned it.
