The problem is, I guess, that people are now sick of zombie games. Games like left 4 dead and the walking dead have made zombie games so shallow and filled with unnecessary gore. The real thing is that zombie games arent for everybody.

Before I buy it, I'd like to read more reviews from users who will come out and say they DO love the old-fashioned survival horror genre, and then review the quality of this game based on how well it executes gameplay, pacing, etc... within the expectations of that genre.

It doesn't help me to hear someone tell me the food at the new Italian restuaurant sucks if they hate Italian food to begin with.

So far i have found that most reviews are slating it due to being survival horror and not enough action. Survival Horror is one of my favourite ever genres, i love clock tower and haunting ground etc, I am not going to let any reviews sway me, I will play it and then give my 2 cents

User reviews are usually better than commercial reviews IMO.

Personally for me the gamespot review was WAY off...I'm totally enjoying the game and haven't found a lot to complain about...glad I got it on launch day.

You would be doing yourself a good service in forgetting the reviews on this. Personally I'd give it an 8/10.

sound- very good and with headphones and the lights off is pretty engrossing
Graphics- could use some AA but still the game doesnt look bad at all IMO
Gameplay- They just must suck at aiming because I could kill zombies in like 2 hits to the head

I think there could be more variety of melee weapons as i did use the cricket bat most of the time

Overall its a solid game and im sure with everyone buying the game and supporting it we will get an even better sequel. controls are good enough but take a bit to get used to, but its worth the pricetag IMO and probably one of the best launch games

IGN do have some decent content and reviews. It just depends who is reviewing what. As it has been said, they get playstation fanboys to review nintendo products which is never good.

After playing ZombiU last night for a couple of hours I can safely say that it is easily my favorite game on the U. When I thought about that Gamespot review while I was playing it seriously pissed me off to the point that I'm going to write the editor. To pan a launch game that is so totally unique is just really a crying shame.

I am actually quite surprised about who they chose to review it too. Their Nintendo team is very good at there reviews, and i am sure that one of them could of easily done a great job with ZombiU.
