At this point, it's in an experimental stage, and I'd like to collect your feedback on it before it officially becomes a permanent addition to the forums. So...please tell me in this thread what you think of it, whether it's good or bad!

1) could you please make it so the posts are not counted as "new"? Because under the recently added section on the home page, at some points all I can see Is the Wii U news stuff, and that is annoying. So could you change the type of post it is?
That's all I can think of at the moment! But it is an awesome idea, just needs to be modified

That's a limitation of IP.Board. The topics it creates in the news section are bona-fide topics, just like any others on the site; and the "Recent Topics" widget in the sidebar directly reads the last five topics that have been created. So I don't think it would be possible to make it that way without adopting an entirely different method of displaying news from the blogs. However, I'm not saying that just that won't happen - as I said in the OP, this is only an experimental feature at this stage.I personally think it is OK. But to make me love it, you would need to change some things because at the moment, it is a little annoying.

This has the potential to make the actual comment sections of the articles useless. The only way around that would be to make the forum the blogs' comment sections, so posts made here show up in the comment sections and vice versa, but that'll require a lot of work to get IP.Board and WordPress to play nice with each other. Probably not gonna happen. I'll consult with David about it, though. One thing I would ask is that you not lock them. Comments are nice, but a good forum discussion about a blog post is great
