With all of the hardware/software problems, I have been hearing on Here and from my parents. Is it safe to buy a Wii U now or should I wait till the week of December 4, 2012.

Why wouldn't it be safe?
Just don't plug out your console while it's updating.

Actually it will explode if you aren't careful. It's up to you though.

I think you're over reacting just a bit 'cause you had bad timing with a power outage, or whatever the case was with you.

When you play and die you die in real life so its the most dangerous out there!!

Im kidding, so far its great. The slowness does suck in the menus but like MANY of said out there it will be addressed.
I wasnt aware of any hardware issues. I know someone on facebook posted that their wii u couldnt read nintendo land but they didnt do the day 1 update. Thats the only one though.

Yes, he is right make sure you don't put it in the microwave.

Also it can be dangerous in other ways too. My friend Brian has a Wii U and it told me I will be killed. He was jealous of me spending time with Brian. Now the Wii U will hide in my
house and kill me. I better watch out or he will slam me on my computdhugsyfuidayuffgdgshidyffjjffufffdddd

there is the odd defective system here and there but i think the chances are so low of getting a defective one that you could easily go ahead with it now. it's up to you though, there is a benefit in waiting but you would have to wait a month or two before you get that benefit of buying a wii u built differently to the ones out now.

Just test it out once you buy it, if you get a defective one, you will either have to return it and get your money back, wait to have Nintendo repair it, or get lucky and find another Wii U somewhere else. I got lucky and got my replacement today.

It's safe if you don't do something stupid like unplug your console while it's updating.

I sort of doubt just waiting until December will improve the quality of units. Honestly half of the problems are from losing power during an update. Just don't do that.

The system will work fine as long as you don't do anything stupid with it.

it should be fine, just be careful, I never usually read manuals, but I'm making a point of reading the Wii U's!!!
