I wasnt even planning on getting a Wii U anytime soon, because I was to lazy and didn't pre order, so I assumed that there would not be any left once it came out for a while, but I was at Sams Club just getting some food yesterday around 6pm, and right when I walked in I saw three Wii U Deluxe models, and right when I saw that I bought it right then and there, by the time I left the other two were sold.

Didn't have to worry about going at midnight standing in a line out side in the cold like with the original Wii, looks like I had some luck.

Yeah I got one by getting to Target a few minutes before opening lol. Got the deluxe, even with the 40person line in front of me.

Edit: Also, I ended up getting it 10% off. Whoot!

I went to Wal-Mart at 11:00, and the only people who were ahead of me was a father and son. I got my Wii U and even got fist-bumps from employees and customers alike.

all the walmarts around me besides one are still in stock and a couple targets are in stock, was going to get one tonight but i cant so im praying i can get one tomorrow :/

None of the stores around me had them at midnight.  The Walmart I went to said they did, but in the 5 minutes it took me to get there, some pimply faced kid with daddy's credit card had bought (or tried to... his card wasn't going through) all the deluxes.  Despite the card not going through, the lady at the counter refused to let me purchase one.

The next morning, I went to Fry's electronics and stood in a line of about a dozen people who were there about 10:30 am, most of whom were actually pre-orders.  They had no extra deluxes, but they had the white ones.  You could only buy it bundled with the Super Mario and Nintendo Land games so I ended up just getting it.  Not really happy about the whole purchasing process all in all.  I couldn't pre-order anywhere.  Every time I tried, it said it was sold out.

I did it without pre-ordering. I stood in front of Nintendo World from Tuesday Midnight till the launch party. I caught a cold... but it was still so worth it. Tsuchinoko and Lord N were with me, but were there since Monday night.

I might end up getting a Wii U deluxe from my local Target, as not too many people near my area know about/want a Wii u. I don't have enough money though: I have only $200 and I want money to spare afterwards. I might wait until next year.

I paid an extra $20 to avoid the hassle of running around and got one locally off eBay and picked it up. They seem to be going for more than that now but not a bad deal.

Just a note, all of the local Walmart's show In Stock on their websites but it is because their systems can't distinguish available stock to fulfill the pre-orders and simply available on the shelf to sell. The same applies for the other big retailers.

I didn't pre-order and I got mine. I was seventh in line at Nintendo World. I was there since Monday at midnight. Got the freakin flu from what my mom tells me. I thought it was a cold but I am inclined to believe her since she worked in a hospital for ten years. It was an interesting experience, full of many different emotions and feeling towards the situation. Contemplated saying f*** this. But I couldn't. Nintendo is too good to pass up. Plus who knows if I could have gotten one later on.

I casually walked to gamestop yesterday and easily picked up a Deluxe Wii U. They are pretty much in stock around my area.

I just got my deluxe at best buy this morning. I was 4 of 10 deluxes they had.

I canceled my pre-order & found a deluxe system at Target. There were four at the one I went to & (due to not having my games) the other Target I went to had three Deluxe systems. Yeap, so Wii U is all plugged up and ready to go once my gamepad is all charged.
