just wondering whether all wii U games support the gamepad as a primary controller? then the pro controller can be used if i want to whip my wife at a few games. ...are those wii remotes/nunchucks ''required'' for any wii U games, or will the gamepad/pro cover them all?

games im getting are :
zombieU
black ops2
sega all stars

maybe-
mario bros.
nintendo land
just dance...for the wife :s

NSMBU you can play with either gamepad or wii remote. No nunchuck.

i recomend not getting zombi u, its really bad from what everyone expected it wouldnt be. but besides that, black ops can use every combination sega all stars idk, mario can use the gamepad, pro controller and wiimote, just dance is just the wii mote for dancing and the gamepad for 2 player

what? i said nothing about playing zombi u with any type of controller makes it look bad, and you cant even play the game with anything but a gamepad. You cant deny the fact that game looks pretty bad and its extremely repetitive and boring.

ZombiU isn't bad, if he likes it he can get it, i recommend it, the reason u can't play with anything but the gamepad is cuz they wanted it to be like it

ZombiU uses the Gamepad only for single player, but pro controller can be used in multiplayer ( I'm not exactly sure, don't have this game)

Black Ops 2 works with everything. Classic Controller/Classic Controller Pro, Wii Remote + Nunchuck, Gamepad, and Pro Controller.

Sonic & All Stars Racing Transformed works with the Gamepad, Classic Controller/Classic Controller Pro, Wii Remote + Nunchuck, and ( maybe) the Wii remote on it's side.

New Super Mario Bros. U works with the Gamepad, and Wii Remotes.

Nintendo Land ( there are many different games with different control schemes) works with the Wii Remote ( NOTE: Only Wii Remote Pluses and Wii Remotes connected to the plus adapter will work), Wii Remote + Nunchuck, and the Gamepad.

Just Dance 4 works with the Wii Remote, Wii Remote + Nunchuck ( not sure about the nunchuck) ( either way it uses the Wii Remote), and the Gamepad.

Assassin Creed 3 can be played from gamepad for online and the whole game. Played it last night for a few hrs.

Zombiu is a great game. Its not for everyone tho. So its just not your cup of tea but its a very good game. One of my fravs.

I'm sure there will be people who can deny it as its a personal opinion at the end of the day. I myself will reserve judgment as I'm in the UK and won't be able to play it until next weekend at the earliest. If you want to give your own opinion that's fine but I suggest you don't speak for everyone else. There are a lot of people out there who like the game and I suspect its not as bad as you make it out to be. Anyways this is going off tangent from the main discussion.

Regards using the Gamepad and other comtroller options it will vary from game to game. I believe for Zombi U the single player can only be played with the Gamepad but the multiplayer supports the pro controller. NSMB U I believe supports the Gamepad and Wii remote but not the pro controller which is pretty strange to say the least. Call Of Duty I believe supports pretty much any controller combination including the Gamepad, pro controller and Wii remote/Nunchuk combo.
