So, got mine yesterday and played just on the gamepad on trine 2 until the battery light flashed. I then left it on the charge cradle over night. I know the battery light goes off when it's fully charged and I'd think its smart enough to stop cooking the battery?!

So, now I've been on zombieU this morning..just going to pick my son up now and couldn't save so I've put it back on the charge dock..

Are the gamepad batteries ok to do this?
Is it best to not charge until the light flashes again?

Ill most likely when it's powered off just put it away in a case I got...charge when it flashes?

You're safe.
It's better to charge them before the flashing really, but it doesn't matter all that much.
It's not like the old rechargeable batteries, it's a lithium ion battery.
They should be kept around 50-75% charge most of the time, draining them completely and charging them fully like you would back in the day has a small chance of shocking the battery, which can reduce the charge it can hold by a bit.

Li-Ion batteries will not 'overcharge' or 'shock' in comparison to old rechargeables.

We are in a new day and age. You can leave it plug in while on or off. It will not hurt it.
Also note that nyko is making a 10hr battery back. Due to release next yr and cost around $20 us.

Yea its like pouring water into a bucket with a whole in it. It will fill up but will take longer then if it didnt have a whole in it.

Also here is the nyko battery pack

I hope they will redesign that battery before they release it, it looks to be way too big.
