Just realised I never answered your question, Brian.
No, haven't played either Portal. But I do know what it's about.

The cake is still there...

Well, I am superdarkyoshi. If you haven't noticed already, I have several different personas such as a fursona named Elric (in avatar), a mysterious man that is involved with a lot of thing paranormal and is named Lucas sleith (in short stories in museum), a golden albino wizard, and a wolf form of the golden albino wizard in which he travels. I am fascinated in dreams and the paranormal, and anything bizarre and mind numbing. I am a musician, and a writer/poet, I post them in the museum. John Mayer Is a big influence on me, and inspires me everyday to work harder as a musician.
And, that cake is about to be eaten.

Man, how do Yoshi's do that?
But it's really cool to hear that you are a musician. I occasionally play with a synthesizer and a violin.
I'm not that good though. But I can (almost) play Decisive Battle (FF6) on the violin. hehe

Snowy Mountains were awesome!!!
Snow is awesome too!!!... not so good when it goes in your pants.
I went snowtubing and tobogganing, and I made a snowman. All sorts of stuff I never thought I'd ever do.
Snowtubing hurts the buttocks. I've found out I'm terrible at traversing snow... really terrible... like 'everyone just laughed at you fall' terrible.
The freshly cooked bacon and egg rolls I ate were really, really good.
And I got a shot glass as a souvenir.
We stayed at a nice cottage, it was really warm.
Really warm... like, 'I wish my room was this warm' warm.
We went down to the local hotel to have few alcoholic drinks, it was the most laid back place I have ever walked into.
We had maccas for breakfast, and it had a self serve drink system... WTF?! YOU'D NEVER FIND THAT IN THE CITY!!!
Stopped by Parliament House on the way back. Dad mostly pointed at all the portraits in the place and told us that "They were a waste of money."
... He got kicked out. lol
I got another souvenir shot glass.
And then we home.
And here I am.
