Hey guys I'd just like to say that I'm realy happy with the welcoming I receaved when I joined this forum yesterday. I guess some of that might be because I know some people here from the 3DS forums but yeah. Anyway if there's going to be a welcoming committee then sign me up
I'd like to say though that I think posts on threads in the introductions area should still count towards your post count. I mean sure it will weed out the people that are copying and pasting but even the people that do it the right way might be discouraged from welcoming people if it doesn't contribute towards their post count, specially in an environment like this where people are rewarded with new titles when they create more posts.

I want to welcome people! Also, I got an idea.
There should be people assigned for certain times. Kinda like shifts.
Example:
12:00AM-1:00PM: Mia, Joey, Sandra
1:00PM-2:00PM: Joey, Carl
2:00PM-3:00PM: Sandra, Joey, Carl
And so on and so on. 2-3 people should be on each shift. Also, it could vary per day.

We don't even organize shifts for writing at Wii U Go or for moderation here, so having them for welcoming new members is just plain overkill. Guides will be expected to welcome every single new member when it is convenient for them (as long as they do it within a day or two of the new member joining).I want to welcome people! Also, I got an idea.

I have 3.something posts per day >.>OK, just an idea. I also think that the people who are going to welcome them should have at least 5 or more posts a day. That way, we know that they're actively part of the community.

I know I had an inactive streak, but that would still put me around 4 PPD...
And I'm pretty sure I would be considered an active member
So I don't think PPD is a good idea. People who are from the old Wii2Boards would automatically be skewered for less PPD simply because less posting went on back then :S
Not only that, it doesn't show whether or not posts were quality and if most of them were in Forum Games, etc...
I think the best way for deciding this is through analysis; You can apply for it, but you'll be watched for like a week to see if you really deserve the spot.

There will be a new group.Should we have a new group (eg. the existing member group) for the welcoming committee? I'm not sure what it would be called but I think it's a good idea.
