It does not matter what the video shows lol. You think that video is a reason to tell people they do not need a case to protect their gamepad? A case helps protect against fingerprints and scratches. It could also be used to simply keep someone from worrying about what could happen.

My picture does not disturb me mentally at all lol. I like those Nintendo shorts, and there is nothing wrong with them. Sorry you do not approve.

But why do WE need to see them?! THINK ABOUT THE PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!

Face it, fingerprints will never end. You just have to deal with them.

And it won't get scratched if you're careful... and it won't fall either...

And you can 100% guarantee that nobody will drop their gamepad and that it won't get scratched? When you have kids of your own, you will know why others take extra precautions.

Here is the beauty of this scenario. Having the case harms nothing at all. Not having one could result in a situation that could have been prevented if you had one....

Much like a screen protector. Sure, there are people that do not need one. But there are more people that have one anyways.

I would suggest rubber ones. Only because a lot of the cheaper companies make hard plastic ones which are not cut 100%. With the gamepad being moved around etc it has the potential to scratch the gamepad from the inside. Much like the really cheap plastic phone cases can unless they are lined by cotton or similar.

It's called put it on a high shelf.

Screen protectors... I use them on my 3DS I am planning on buying one for my Gamepad even though they are a little redundant.

There we have it folks! Put it on a high shelf... Problem solved!!!!!! Except for when someone else is using the gamepad, like a child maybe?

Sometimes we have to look outside of our own box. The OP wants a cover for their gamepad. This thread is not a discussion as to whether or not he or she needs one. The thread is about which cover to get.

Are there any screen protectors out for the game pad? I have a 12 year old who plays my wii u and he has a friend who is lets say a little rough with things, so this is why I need a little extra protection on my game pad. I am planning to get a cover to protect mine as well, so any info on the covers would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, I am thinking about getting a hardshell case when I get my Wii U and want to know if you guys think it would be worth it?

If we accidentally drop the GamePad we are screwed as I imagine the price for a new GamePad will be expensive so would it be worth the extra protection or a waste of money?

Has anyone got a hardshell on your GamePad yet and how are you getting on with it?

Here is a link of one I like the look of:

Id buy but thats just me. i like the non gloss finish.
