Why would Mario Kart take the longest?
Because the other games will be better.

So wouldn't they take longer to make?

I was kind of joking. But basically, there is probably less demand for a new Mario Kart. Even though it probably sells the best because everyone plays it.

Well we know that the other games are in development. I haven't heard anything about Mario Kart, but that could be because everyone expects it and aren't fishing for details. Why would Mario Kart take the longest?

Zelda (end of year 2014)
Metroid (this is an odd ball but I am hoping next year, but I realistically expect it mid 2014)
Mario Kart Holiday (end of 2013)
Smash Bros Holiday (end of 2013)
I also expect that we may see a 3d mario late next year or early 2014

My predictions:
Zelda (end of year 2014)
Metroid (this is an odd ball but I am hoping next year, but I realistically expect it mid 2014)
Mario Kart Holiday (end of 2013)
Smash Bros Holiday (end of 2013)
I also expect that we may see a 3d mario late next year or early 2014
I think this is probably my predictions too. I know they are nintendos most popular but I wish they wouldnt prioritise Mario games because they are getting old. 3DS especially has too many mario games.

I also think Mario games are what will pull in the larger number at this point in time. I also imagine Mario games would be rather cheap, quick and relatively easy to make.

Mario Kart - near the end of 2013, or early 2014
Metroid - Between early 2014 and late 2014.
Smash Bros - If Sakurai delays the game, we might not see it in retail/download until at least the end of 2014 or until early 2015, though the 3DS version will most likely be out sooner than that.
Honestly, I fully expect to see a 3D Mario game long before any of the other four anyway, either mid or late 2013.
