The slim line Xbox consoles suffer less than a 10% defect rate. (The average defect rate for all electronics is 10%) The chips mean nothing since it is the cooling that prevents the system failure. The first batch of consoles were using a lead free solder which was cracking, causing a tremendous amount of RROD. The cooling system was still crap, and this caused more problems. The Slim models have superior cooling and Microsoft has pretty much fixed their problem.

That is fact.


Yes, your facts are correct, so are mine, they still have issues even if it is less than 10% :P - I was iterating though its still the same issue the past models suffered from.
