The sun will die eventually, the earth will be reduced to nothing inside a black hole at some point in time.
The only thing you can be sure of is that you, and this planet will reach an end at some point.

Whether I believe a prophecy or not makes no difference to showing people respect for their beliefs.
Especially when I have no idea if they're right or not.

I'd personally go with there's no real reason why the world would end today. Mayans just didn't bother making another calendar.

The world was supposed to end at 4 AM my time. It didn't. XD I don't know why everyone decided to follow the Mayan calendar in the first place.

The ancient aliens guy I think it was was saying the Mayans just stopped the calendar because it was when we moved from facing one star system to another. Like Aquarius to something else, I dunno.

I always assumed that when the Mayan calendar ended it would just restart. It seems logical, but who knows...

Their calendar was made by charting the stars, it probably wouldn't work when they were going to face a new star cluster.
I ain't no biologist though, so I dunno.

From studying similar stars to our sun we can tell that it is going to be millions of years before it dies out. Sure, we can't put an exact date on it, but we can certainly say it isn't going to happen anytime soon.
