Why do you think that?

- Near complete when moved from Wii to Wii U
- Nintendo knows they can't produce shoddy 1st Party titles at launch, following the 3DS' results.
- Nintendo knows people have been waiting on Pikmin 3 for ages, almost guaranteed to get an instant buy.
- Potentially powerful enough to be the only 1st party title needed for launch, alongside all the 3rd party, and whatever Wii U specialised game they have in store.

I think that it will be ready by launch but that Nintendo might not release it then because like you said it's highly anticipated and it could overshadow the third party launch titles, Darksiders, Killer Freaks etc.

The problem is that Nintendo doesn't want it's own games to steal the spotlight. Let's hope Nintendo finds a way to have good first party and third party games at launch!

If it's the only game, besides the inevitable Wii U Sports, that they have at the ready, it's not going to overshadow as much.

I think a good tactic would be to release it a two weeks after launch. Idk, I really haven't got an argument for it this time. I guess I'm running of Samurai Warriors Chronicles... well, what happened with it in Australia anyway, which was released a week after launch.

As Reggie recently said, they've learned with the mistakes they've done with the 3DS. They will definitely launch the Wii U with a big first-party game. In this case, it could very possibly be Pikimin 3.

To be perfectly honest, i would be a bit disappointed if there aren't any. Mario is my biggest reason for liking Nintendo, now I'm not saying there had to be there big, hyped game (SMG, SMS, SM64) at launch, but something would be nice, like Luigi's mansion was on GCN.

I want a little of both, first give us Smash Bros. and something like Pikmin 3, while 3rd party developers see what they can do.

We already know Pikmin 3 is coming. They could always make New Super Mario Bros. Mii into a full game & release that at launch.

But Pikmin isn't that well known of a Franchise. I'm the only one that I know what Pikmin and has played some.
