While the GBA is part of the gameboy line and Heritage in Name, it is it's own separate entity. The same applies with the DS-3DS

Erm... that's the point I was trying to make?

ofcourse i would prefer recharchable, who wouldnt? but the problem is that ps3 controllers could be charged up while ur playing with another. however its unlikely were going to own multiple wii u controllers so while we charge it, what do we play with? i suppose you would have to only play games that dont need the gyro or motion controls while charging. for example you couldnt play killer freaks while charging the controller, u would have to play mario bros or gta or something.

I prefer charging, because I don't want to go to the shops every time just to get batteries and if your controller is dying, you can just charge it.

Charger over Batteries anyday

I do believe that the patent for the Wii U tablet controller confirms that the tablet controllers will use a rechargeable battery. They could likely use the same battery as the 3DS cutting cost while still having a relatively log battery live since the tablets are mostly dump terminals.

That's like saying that the Gameboy Advance isn't a Gameboy.

Because it isn't.
Also on 3DS Forums and Racketboy. I am not an iodit.

It's pretty much going to be like the 3DS.

Trophy Cards are classy too! LOLZIGZAGOON

My guess is that it ill be like the 3DS...rechargeable battery plus charger (which can be used during gameplay...I hope)
Because I think the 3DS can last around 3-4 hours on one charge (all effects on) but the Wii-U tablet has bigger screen, its also shoving around lots more polygons, lighting etc than the 3DS,so the power consumption will be heavy...I hope the controller is full usable with all games etc when charging...I am sure Nintendo have taken all these things in to account but its got me pondering.
But that being said the Wii-mote battery life was good (around 15 hours using all features) so its just the screen that will be intensive....
I am afraid I am sort of guessing but good question though:)

There is one thing you did wrong here. The wii u controller will not do any big rendering of polygons, lighting etc, that is the actual console. the console will stream the data to the controller so it will not consume as much power as you think.

Yeah, you've done a great job so far, letting the Metal Heads destroy the palace.

Yes, and also the screen isn't 3d, with the 3d ONE of the main battery suckers on the 3ds.
