And this is how misinformation spreads.
Hey, I dunno about you, but I believe it because I read it from some random guy on a forum.

The console only uses 33w maximum at the moment which is true.
We know Wii U can run PS360 games using less than half consumption, bear in mind those consoles were over 200w at launch.
PS4 is said to be using CPU+GPU that has the ability to cut off it's extra cores for efficiency. Does Wii U have something similar? Would 33w still be the max when it's using 100% of it's capabilities? Who knows, but the fact remains Wii U has not hit anywhere near 75w.
I don't think anyone here has the knowledge (you might think you do) to say whether Wii U has such a feature or not.

The fact of the matter is Wii U has a 75w power consumption for ONLY the console in Nintendo's official specification.
The console only uses 33w maximum at the moment which is true.

Yes, we do, and no, it doesnt.
ps3 has 8 cores, wii u has 3. I shouldnt have to say more, yet i suspect i will.
1. Wii u will NEVER come close to maxing out the psu, thats the MAXIMUM the power supply unit can allow. For safety purposes, the maximum is NEVER used.
2. 100% of the systems capabilities regaurding power draqis NOT remotely close to what you think it is.
For example, the system was designed for maximum usage, thats all usb cables being used, all wifi on, disc drive max speed, laser on etc etc.
The disc drive alone can use up over 22 watts at times (start up costs a lot more than mantaining a constant speed)
whats 22+33? 55. Thats already encroaching the 80% of max safety allotment, and its not even considering usb hard drives and other plug ins.
There is NO latent super power in the wii u, quit setting yourself up for dissapointnent.
The only thing along these lines that can relate to this is when the wii u is in wiimode. Core 1 is usually off, and core zero has half its cache cut off.
