To be honest, I think they should save gen 3 remakes for until after gen 6 is out. The way I see it, remakes of gen 1 and gen 2 were kind of a priority, because the original games of those generations aren't compatible with gen 3 and beyond. Since gen 3 is still compatible with gen 5 through gen 4 (and hopefully with gen 6 through 5), I think they should slow down on the remakes. Maybe instead of having one set of remakes per generation, they should have them once every two gens.

I can take it. I literally can't take any more new generations of Pokemon, just let the series die out already. I know it sounds mean but seriously

Seeing as how Generations 1 and 2 have been remade, I think it's either a new generation, or a remake of Generation 3.

My question is where in the heck they keep getting all these ideas from. The idea for yet another generation, that's insane. You'd think that they would eventually start to run out of designs for any new Pokemon, rather than make more.

I just hope they don't start to re-make any previous generation Pokemon, like they did in Gen 4. That generation had a lot of older Pokemon from Kanto and Johto but they were given another evolution. Like Magmortar, Electrovire, Yanmega, Togekiss, Magnezone and a few others that just sounded ridiculous. Either as far as names or as far as their idea. Basically it gave me the impression that they were running out of ideas when they made some of those, (no offence they're still alright Pokemon) but you get what i mean hopefully.

Lets not forget, generation one had a pokeball with Hunters eyes on it, then flipped it upside down and called it an evolution. If that didn't bother you, then a pile of garbage or a few ice cream cones shouldn't bother you either.

I think this announcement will be related to generation VI because Junichi Masuda normally appears on Pokémon Smash to revealed a new Pokémon or new main series Pokémon game. I don't think Generation III remakes will happen in Generation V because most of the Generation III introduced Pokémon are easily available in Black 2 and White 2 including the legendary golems, Latias and Latios. Kyogre and Groudon are also being distributed for the 10th anniversary of Ruby and Sapphire in Japan.

I want Gen 6 over Hoenn remakes. don't get me wrong I want remakes but not yet. If we got them now they would be for DS not 3DS. They never switch consoles mid gen. So Gen 6 this year and remakes next year. The 3DS would be great for Pokemon with Streetpass,Miiverse,AR etc. (3D Sprites hopefully)

Anyway only a few days left.

Maybe we will even get the shorter translation time like we did for BW 2. However if we have to wait till 2014 I'm ok with that since we have been getting new Pokemon games every year since 2009.

It'll be a main series game, we know that. Either 6th Generation, or R/S/E remakes, or maybe Game Freak will throw a curve-ball and announce something no one expects, like they did with BW2.
