This is great news to Australians. In the past, games like Mortal Kombat were either censored or unreleased in Australia due to it's rating. Now it seems that they are getting more comfortable with R18 games. This could lead to more games like Ninja Gaiden 3 being released in Australia. Now if only they would do something about the prices (I still feel bad for any Australian gamer)

Nintendo published Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge, the first R18+ game in Australia. Nintendo's kiddy reputation that they got back in the SNES & N64 days for censoring Mortal Kombat, Duke Nukem 64, Wolfenstein 3D, etc. is now pretty much gone with this news. And that's more than a good thing. How is this about Nintendo being for kids? This is a win for Australian gamers as they can actually get R18+ games.

All these trolls say Nintendo is for little kids... Lol their funny.
funny part is most of those trolls are little kids playing COD on xbox/PS3.
and little kids is the reputation the xbox/PS3 cod community has.

I'm from Australia and this is great news! The days of missing out completely or getting toned down versions of these games are over! And, the fact that Nintendo is pushing the game wipes the smirk off of any PS360 fanboys who seem to think that nintendo is for kiddies.
Not true. Nintendo still has a bad stigma in this area and still has a reputation as being the company that caters to and for the younger gaming audience. They still have a long way to go to shake that off.

That's more of a really stupid stereotype than a reputation.
eather way, stereotypes happen when more of group A do something than any other groups. so whater group A is doing becomes the group A stereotype. so still mostly true.
i found very very few wiiU haters that prove themselfs well informed.

I guess you're right. The Wii U needs more mature games this year & the years ahead. Games like BioShock: Ultimate Rapture Edition, RavensDale, Dead Rising 3, Fallout 4, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes, Metro: Last Light, Saints Row 4, Tomb Raider, Dead Island: Riptide, Army of Two: The Devil's Cartel, Devil's Third, Prey 2, Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2, XCOM, Star Wars: 1313, The Phantom Pain, Scivelation, Sacred 3, Dead Space 3, Destiny, The Dark Eye: Demonicon, Whore of the Orient, Thief IV, Spartacus: Legends, Mistborn: Birthright, Remember Me, Watch Dogs, Doom 4, Dark Souls II, Mass Effect 4, Dragon Age III: Inquisition, Fuse, Defiance, Killer is Dead, Painkiller: Hell & Damnation, Dark, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Grand Theft Auto V, Hitman HD Trilogy, Raven's Cry, Furious 4, Deadpool, Crysis 3, Yaiba: Ninja Gaiden Z, Tom Clancy's Rainbow 6: Patriots, & BioShock Infinite. Not true. Nintendo still has a bad stigma in this area and still has a reputation as being the company that caters to and for the younger gaming audience. They still have a long way to go to shake that off.
