Having the main series on a console just isn't a good idea. Pokemon is based off of IRL multiplayer. Yes, while there are wifi replacements, it'd suck to not be able to battle your friend IRL just because you both bought the console version. I'm sure there will be connectivity with whatever spinoffs will be on Wii U.
Ok now that is what I was looking for. I had no idea about the technical limitations. Thanks man.
Pokemon is a handheld console seller... it's not for consoles. Cross-play isn't even all that important... The 3DS needs games too... That's like saying, "OoT 3D got a port to the 3DS, there's no excuse for Nintendo to not put that onto the Wii". You're acting like it's a required thing, and it most definitely isn't.
Blake I never said it was a requirement....I just said that I didn't get it and it ticked me off. The technical limitation I can understand, but the stuff that I have been reading that you just reiterated about the 3DS needing games too I simply don't. I have even seen people go as far as to suggest that bringing Pokemon to WiiU could hurt the 3DS. The 3DS is approaching 30 million sold, and has no competition unless you actually count smart phones. People will keep buying them regardless. That kind of rationale is a cop out to me.

Welcome, dude. You could even argue that it's more of an excuse than anything since I think the same problem applies to Monster Hunter. >> But Pokemon is a very portable based game. I don't think any of us would have gotten attached to the little things if we didn't keep them with us while going to school lol.
Ah so that is why the 3DS version of MH will not have online MP? So, if you pick up both versions, you can only continue your WiiU game solo on your 3DS?

I'm honestly not sure why the 3DS one won't have online multiplayer. Even though in Japan IRL multiplayer is more common. But yeah, you can only do solo on the 3DS unless you have your friend in the same room.Ah so that is why the 3DS version of MH will not have online MP? I think the reason it doesnt have online mp is when it was originally released in Japan they couldn't get online to work. Now that they figured it out they are putting it in monster hunter 4I'm honestly not sure why the 3DS one won't have online multiplayer. Even though in Japan IRL multiplayer is more common. But yeah, you can only do solo on the 3DS unless you have your friend in the same room.

Servers, mh3u3d doesnt have online because capcom doesnt want to dedicate the servers to the 3ds version just for the us.
You can, however, go online on your 3ds via the wii u. So you can bring your 3ds over to a freinds house who is playing online on his wii u, and play online with him with the 3ds as your own screen.
