This is definitely going to put pressure on poor kids if this does happen. It's disgusting. How would these kids possibly concentrate on school work if their food is taken away from them?

Maybe they need to be denying families' welfare based off of how much cigarettes/alcohol is being bought with that money rather than punish the children for no real apparent reason.

What if the child is dyslexic or is being bullied? Some laws are really stupid. It's putting pressure on kids and the parents.

Hi, my name is Alph. I live on a planet named Koppai. I am famous for saving my planet from starvation. My best friends are Brittany and Captain Olimar, NOT Captain Charlie. I like surfing the KopNet and playing Kopetball.

With the fact that if they fail their family gets less from welfare, this bill could end up being more of a burden than a motivator. I hope this gets vetoed, permanently.

100% agree. All the wrong people are generally the ones who suffer. Every day people on food stamps or welfare misuse it on drugs, booze, jewelry and other stuff while people who legitimately struggle to get by.

The law is obviously stupid - totally clear cut. The people who support it have nothing on their side whatsoever, and all the people on this board really know how to do politics and should be Tennessee's legislators.

I don't think that this will ever happen, unless people in Tennessee have no sense of morality whatsoever. I'm sure if it did happen that there would be protests due to it.

This is just downright sick, whoever suggested this should be ashamed!
