If you have the income to spend, why not?

You can also buy oculus rift, 3d printers (which ate tons of fun, btw), and hovercraft plans along with the parts to build it.

So you can. And no problems there.

It just seems that ouya doesn't have anything to offer that isn't done (far) better elsewhere.

^^^ I will explain this how i did it to my buddy who asked my why i bought it. It might be weird but its how i am. I love mobile games although i do not play them often, The reason being i love laying back in my couch after coming home from a crap day at work and playing some games. The last thing i want to do is squint at a tiny screen, So it opens up a whole new world of gaming for me because it allows me to play some new style games on a huge TV.
