If Nintendo do release another round of consoles they should have most if not all the updates come up to date pre standard.

Uh...
There are games out now.
But the thing just launched.
Give the developers a chance to finish the games (rayman notwithstanding...you can blame ubi for that one).

There are plenty of games for the Wii U. But apparently they don't suit to your liking. Just give the Wii U another year or 2. Have you forgotten about the Nintendo Direct and the approaching E3 conference?

I do think the OP is on to something though, it would deffinatly be better value for money.
