#313531 Are 3rd parties heading back to Wii U?

Posted by GAMER1984 on 30 May 2015 - 11:28 PM

To be honest does it really matter. The reality is the relationships are broken between 3rd parties, Nintendo, and gamers. No matter what games these are that are coming (despite the user base) we know they are gonna sell like crap and force the developer/publisher to never make another Wii U game. So cool I hope some amazing 3rd party games come or is shown at E3... but I hope even more that Wii U gamers go out and purchase these games so they can actually keep coming.

There's definitely more faith in Wii U now, obviously not as much as pre-release, but I like that more independent developers are supporting it. Some of the best games last year were eShop titles.

#313618 Splatoon Is A Bad Unfinished Game

Posted by MatrixChicken on 01 June 2015 - 06:20 AM

There are so many things wrong with Splatoon, it's just not even fun.

1. No Lobbying with friends.

2. Only One Online Mode

3. Unbalanced Weapons

4. Only 5 Maps in total, LOL

5. No Option for Pro Controller

6. Unable to Exit Lobby

7. Limited Custimization

8. Unable to change wepaons without leaving lobby

9 Do I even have to mention no Mics?

Yeah the game mechanics work and the game looks pretty. But it's a bad game.

1. Coming soon.

2. Also coming soon, like probably today...

3. Eh, not really. Just git gud.

4. Whaddaya know, also coming soon!

5. That is a fact, yes. Not really relevant as the gamepad is the superior control option anyway...

6. Also a fact... That's to prevent people from leaving and making a match take forever to start.

7. How so? Weapons are put in sets to ensure that balance you're so worried about. Clothes customization is pretty good IMO... Legwear would be nice though.

8. Also to prevent matches taking a long time to start.

9. Oh boy more voice chat whining... If you're talking about full-on public voice chat, I can't even take you seriously any more. The amount of stupidity people would be spewing isn't even funny, me included. Not to mention, half the people you play with are gonna be foreigners and voice chat would be useless with them. I can agree that the option for voice chat between friends would be nice.

Splatoon, as of now, might be a short game. A game lacking content. But the core gameplay is what's important, and I dunno about you, but I think it's amazing. I'm super happy that Nintendo released this "unfinished" game. It means I can have fun with this game 3 months (at least) early! And the added content will only make things more awesome.

Nintendo slacking, not a good sign.

Nah, they had a hard deadline and had the content polished to high heaven upon release. Slacking would of been releasing all of the content that was not polished or ready, stuff that doesn't meet their usual quality standards. Then having people female dog and moan about all of the glitches, bugs and poor design choices.

People seem to prefer quantity over quality around here, not sure why. I'd take quality first.

all this hate for the gamepad and it's just a pro controller with a screen in the middle. geesh. LOL

Most likely the reason is they want players to realize that when playing single player and multiplayer online, the only option is with the gamepad, so forcing it's use in 1vs1 makes sense. This way people are familiar with the controls and feel when playing, it's the main controller that the game was built for.

Thats the point I am making. 1 vs 1 I should be able to pick up the pro-controller and enjoy the game without having to use the gamepad.

YOU can, just make the other player use the gamepad. LMAO

We don't even know what NX is. It's to early for this question

#311829 Black Ops 3 headed to Wii U?

I'm not a huge fan but...

Source: http://ca.ign.com/ar...intendo-account

The official Call of Duty website now allows registered users to link their Nintendo Network ID, hinting at a possible Wii U release for the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops III.

NeoGAF user catmario discovered that upon registering, users are asked to link their Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Steam, and/or Nintendo Network account IDs. I have since gone through the process myself to verify, and was greeted with the following screen.

It's worth noting that the last Call of Duty game to appear on Nintendo's tablet-centric console was Black Ops II, which launched back in 2012. Oddly enough, this was last title developed by Treyarch, the very same studio tasked with creating the upcoming third entry in Activision's popular sub-series.

How did they get that last part wrong. Not remembering the COD ghost came to Wii U in 2013
