#77570 "The Intended Platforms UE 4 is aimed at have not been announced" Say...

Posted by TriForce_3 on 09 May 2012 - 09:19 AM

I got it! Ideaman said the news is thread worthy and all gamers would think it was big news, not just Nintendo gamers. Also, it's not about the controller. That means, the dev kits were upgraded and optimized to run Unreal 4! The theory fits....

According to a NWR post with an inside source he confirms a dev told him Wii U was "tweaked" and WILL run UE4. BlackNMild on Gaf confirms that he has a source and says he believes him, but said he can't say more about the source.

Looks promising and I wondered if this matched what IdeaMan was speaking about that "Everybody would like to hear".

#72778 Vigil: Everyone Will Want A Wii U

That is actually one of the reasons why I want the Wii U version.

Darksiders II on Wii U is going to be one of the games I get when I pick up the Wii U (Launch day unless I'm MAJORLY disapointed by e3). I don't expect the Graphics to be noticeably better but with the controller I believe it will easily be the best version of Darksiders II.

#61604 Wii U Zelda Story Ideas?

Posted by TriForce_3 on 14 February 2012 - 11:04 AM

I like the civil war and Seal War idea's(of course I would love any story as long as they nail the presentation and gameplay)

I want it to be kinda dark also, sorta like some sections of Twilight Princess. Think Twilight Princess and the mini-boss fight with Dark Nut in the Temple of Time(one of my favorite boss fights just because of the realism, sword vs sword, and the look and feel of the battle) or think when Link is confused in Twilight Princess with the dark versions of himself(Great scene and I want more of that type of story).

I agree with Crakkat that more Magic would be great. I also would like more then 2-3 shields, Swords, and armor. Give us tons of Swords, Sheilds, and Armor to buy with unique features. With the tablet it should be easy to switch this out in battle and could add a lot of strategy to the game.

Other than that I hope it looks like the demo version that has been previewed with huge open worlds. Zelda is a system seller and if they can top any of the past Zelda's it will go a long way in making the Wii U a success, IMO.

As for the controversial topic of Voice Acting, I say they should have BOTH! Give the player the option to choose at the very beginning of the game if they want to play it with Voice Acting or in Traditional Zelda form. For those that think Voice Acting would ruin the charm and tradition of Zelda they NEVER have to hear it. FWIW, I'm neither heavily for or heavily against Voice Acting. I think it COULD add to the game, but it would have to be handled just right or it could take away from the game.

#59222 Let's talk Zelda Wii U

Count me as one who is undecided on the Voice Acting. Usually most fans are strongely for or strongely against. I'm actually in neither camp. I think it could be done and improve on the game, but I also think they would have to be very careful in doing this that it doesn't take away from the charm of the franchise.

Maybe they could offer something to people on both sides of the fense: An option to enable/disable Voice Acting before starting your game. What would everyone think of that?

Things I would also like to see added:
More emphasis on Magic(as suggested by Crakkat)
More emphasis on purchasing goods-Most Zelda's don't offer many upgrades through Ruppee's, I would like to see that changed. At the same time they would have to be careful as Link has normally received the majority of weapons through Dungeons. If the game/adventure is large enough, and they have enough weapons then they should be able to keep the traditional Item per dungion while still offering items through shops.
