I'm still very confused as to how anyone thought I was actually talking about the game carts.

I remember those. I still have the tapes for Jet Force Gemini/DK64 and Diddy Kong Racing.

The Micro was more of a novelty imo.

Also the Micro doesn't have backwards compatibility with Gameboy and Gameboy Color games.

I've always wondered why companies don't use top loading drives on their consoles.

Aren't those types of drives cheaper and more reliable?
