#162837 Nintendo's Nintendo Direct: 01/23/'13 thoughts.

Yeah that Monolith Soft game looks epic!!!  I have Ballon Fight on my 3ds but have yet to try it out.  I'll probably just redownload it on the Wii U anyway since it is only $0.30.  I'm glad they have gamepad support for the Virtual Console that was a welcome addition.

I gotta admit, when they showed those first HD pictures of the Zelda game I was like wait wut?  They're going this route?  Then he said its Wind Waker being remade in HD and I was like OMG!!!

That was the one that got me too.  And the new "X" video, too.

I also liked the lineup of $0.30 virtual console games.... Balloon Fight wasone of the first games i owned on my NES!!!  Not one of the ones i was looking forward to the most, but what a nice way to start a VC library and introduce my kids to games i plaed when I was their age!

This Nintendo Direct was better than their E3 2012; just sums up my reaction.  The games are really showcasing what the system can really do (I love how they made their hybrid CPU play nice with AMD's e6760 to get those visuals).  I'm really excited over the future of the console!

Hello everyone!,

I hope you all are doing well.  :)

To sum up Nintendo's latest Nintendo Direct in three words: that was awesome!

Nintendo addressed some of their customer's requests and revealed a lot too!

Personally, I didn't think the apologies were necessary as I understand the wait for games.  I would much rather have quality over quantity.  The apologies were thoughtful though.

If you haven't seen the presentation yet, you can by clicking on this link:

Our voices are heard, so gather enough people to voice your requests and Nintendo may respond to them.

Take care everyone!  :)

Sincerely, NintendoFan

Lol its all good mate it doesn't bother me. After last night's announcements this place seems more active which can only be a good thing.

The WW remake is awesome. The new one on the other hand took what we like about LOZ and flushed it down the toilet. That's right, Its stupid level based gameplay! Not saying that level based games suck but isnt the exploration why Zelda become popular in the first place?

Just because it'll be "rethinking the conventions of Zelda" doesn't mean it'll become level based. The suggestions Mr. Aonuma gave - completing dungeons in a specific order, playing alone (keep in mind these are the 'conventions' being changed!) - actually suggest an even more open gameplay style.
