#317172 What games would make the NX launch successful?

Posted by NintendoReport on 08 November 2015 - 02:48 PM

Be nice to see Monster Hunter grace a Nintendo home console once again. I don't know of any games specific, but it needs big hitters from a few of it's franchises right out of the gate peppered with other exclusives and some 3rd party. Also, a new IP, or something brought back from the dead.

It is nice to see Nollog calling everyone a female simply to bait and flame, it is also nice to see Nollog decide to visit here once every few months and actually make a post.

The rules make no mention of PM"s in which I used to tell members about my website, mainly at the time because this site had a ton of database issues and problems.

It was me who actually tweeted Feld0 to bring his attention to the problems here and finally got some of the issues resolved. I've done a lot here trying to create content and topics and keep people interested here as well as creating several banners including the most recent one.

So if all you want to do is complain, moan and start a fight for no reason that's fine. You were a member here long enough to know who the Admin of the site is and could of contacted them if you really cared about something.

Almost every time you post here you do so to try and cause a stir even if simply by calling a person by the sex they are not. So with that said, bye bye.

  • Google Now is your friend. Make sure to connect your google account (pretty much a given)
  • Use widgets
  • Get the new chrome cast ($35 bucks) - connects to your TV via HDMI, stream apps and services from your tablet to it. Works wonders.

So likely a conservative suit. Kinda what I expected and let down.

I would read this before making any assumptions.

#316830 Pikmin 4 Being Developed but what platform?

Posted by NintendoReport on 07 September 2015 - 01:22 PM

    From: http://nintendoenthu...early-complete/

In a new interview, Shigeru Miyamoto announced that Pikmin 4 is in development. In fact, the game has nearly completed development.

“We can confirm that Pikmin 4 is in development but that is all we can confirm at present. It’s actually very close to completion.”

Unfortunately, Miyamoto did not reveal a platform for the game, or a launch window for the game’s release.

Nintendo’s next platform, the Nintendo NX, is already in development according to Nintendo, but the console does not have a release window confirmed at this time either. Perhaps Pikmin 4 will end up as a Nintendo NX game when it sees launch?

#316789 Super Mario Maker Review Roundup

Posted by NintendoReport on 02 September 2015 - 11:04 AM

    http://wiiudaily.com...eview-round-up/

    Venture Beat – 10/10

Nintendo didn’t just do the bare minimum here. It didn’t just scrap together a level editor and sharing system. It has put unparalleled craft and care into every element of this game because it loves Mario as much as we do. And that propels this game into a whole other realm of greatness.

    USGamer – 5/5

Just as Super Mario Bros. redefined the platformer genre, Super Mario Maker redefines the idea of a consumer-level game design toolset. It makes complexity feel simple and creativity addictive, and it does so by drawing upon, and holding true to, the principles of accessibility and polish that made Super Mario Bros. such a landmark all those years ago.

    Polygon – 9.5/10

Where other publishers might release a making-of documentary of their golden era, Super Mario Maker does the unthinkable: It lets you do the making of. I have had a tremendous amount of fun playing Super Mario Maker, but the way it developed that newfound appreciation for something I’ve known my whole life was the game’s biggest accomplishment. Sure, there’s touches of fan service here and there, like a startling number of references to Mario Paint, but that’s not how it won me over. Super Mario Maker wooed me because it’s a hands-on history lesson.

    GameSpot – 9/10

The first time I discovered that, not only could I make a giant, flame-spewing piranha plant, but I could also make it fly, I cackled with horrible glee at the possibilities. And for the first time in a creation-focused experience, I look forward to returning again and again for more than just the amazing levels I know other people will create. I want to keep making my own levels better. The game won’t necessarily turn you into the next Shigeru Miyamoto, but you can almost feel a little bit of that magic rubbing off every time you upload a new creation.

    Destructoid – 8/10

Super Mario Maker is a charming little creation tool, and I’m sure fans will come up with some amazing levels for years to come. However, it feels a bit more constrained than it needs to be, and is in dire need of updates or DLC to keep it going long term.

    IGN – 9/10

Super Mario Maker is a great way to mark Mario’s 30th birthday, but it’s not concerned with being an overwrought history lesson. Instead, it’s a celebration that folds three decades of Mario into one accessible, powerful creation suite. The perpetual joke at the end of every 10 Mario Challenge run informing you that the Princess is in yet another castle hints at Super Mario Maker’s bigger promise: There will always be more levels to play thanks to the online creation community, and a virtually endless pool of challenges to overcome.
