I don't think it would change much. We already know that they the PS4 and X1 are more powerful. We've already seen graphics that are comparable to this generation if not slightly better on the Wii U, and it's only going to gradually get better. Personally I think it's fine the way it is. I would rather the extra power go towards things such as stable FPS, improved AI, and larger maps.

I've actually enjoyed the Miiverse website. It's great if you just want to quickly check if anything new is going on. I really think that when Wii U Fit is released we will see a surge of Miiverse usage, Including the fact that we will generally be able to created higher quality content instead of the current yeah-whoring. Also with a website we might see the end of the dreaded character limit.
Plus its nice to be able to save Miiverse drawings to a PC.

I honestly don't see the problem of not having backwards compatibility. I doubt any of us would buy 360 games without a 360. Seems silly to make that investment otherwise.
The thing is that many people sell their old console in order to subsidize the high prices of newer consoles.
