Battlefield and CoD aren't very deep experiences, and I don't think the Wii U will change that :3 I'd much rather see how something like a cooperative RPG would work with the WiiPads.


I can very well see CoD being interacting and fun with the wiiu pad.
Imagine placing a claymore with the hole wiiupad, or having the view of an rcxd or helicopter on the screen

I dont think we shud bash away franchises from the wiiu for being "boring". Cuz with the controller, i dont think they can be. ;)

Nintendo wasnt kiddy until the wii, where developers didnt want to make games for a underpowered console. But it seems like developers really likes the wii u, so i believe it could be "hardore" if nintendo isnt forcing it to act kiddy of course :P

here in sweden, the average family sees movies on dvd's so i would say yes.

For all the naive people (and thats alot!), i think its pretty much about image. I dont really think nintendo helps the wiiU by making it seem casual and childish (plastic white and still having wii in the name, WII LOOKING CONSOLE?), why cant it have an cool image? (stylish black and awesome name etc?, i mean if nintendo doesnt launch some cool commercials, everyone expect nintyfans will believe its just an upgraded wii (like the ds to 3ds, everyone believes its an dsi with 3d). And guess what? Its almost too late (i believe), many people already believes that the wiiu is just and expansion controller for the wii (i didnt see a console in the e3 video :-/ )

I believe that nintendo believes that they cant woe the casual gamers if they make it look "hardcore", well i've seen/met a TON of casual xbox/ps3 gamers.

All this will maybe affect developers to not make games for the wiiu, like with the wii. But that can be helped if they wont make "another" wii just because it has wii in the name. Otherwise, thy will just pull another "3ds" in front of the naives (people that doesnt research about consoles)

Well of course i saw the console, but it looked exactly like a wii, i just mean that people that arent much into gaming will believe that its another wii, wii upgrade or an new controller for the wii.

The thing is that the whole e3 presentation was very confusing, i ve got plenty of people asking me if its a console or a controller.

What i was also trying to tell was that if nintendo doesnt tell people that its a brand new fresh console, people will ignore it at the beginning just like the 3ds,ps3 and xbox 360<----Notice! At the names of these consoles, they seem like just an upgrade Of previous generation, right?

NOW notice the name difference between gamecube and wii. Wii was from gamecube, something new and fresh, and it sold like ****!

@lostdwarf When did the power of the consoles really had to do with generations? You cant really deny that wii belongs to this generation, plus, WII U will probably wont be "slightly" more powerful than current gen, many sources said it is most likely to be 4-5 times as powerful as 360, and crytec said they are very happy about the dev kits,  and for me, that says a LOT.

they wre underclocked, yes. but i dont think that reggie only was talking about graphics when he talked about 10% and potencial.

cant they just do a good online service without friend codes, but with parental settings. just place a big letter in the box saying blah blah blah blah parental settings, cuz a dont think a youngster do know how to set up a home console, and in that way, the parents will know about the parental settings.

anyway, if that fails. Do kids really get attacked by pedophiles on xbl and psn?

If wii u will only have 4gb flash as rumored/mostly confirmed, they better not skip usb 3.0 support. Only 4gb will force people to use external HDDs, and thats real fun when you cant use its full capabilities.

They could just let you download it from the Wii shop if you only need the disc once.


Some people aint got internet comnection, plus it takes longer time to download rather than just install from a disc.

I was thinking that if you want to play for example mario kart, it seems that one has to use the wii U controller, and others has to use a normal controller if nintendo wont make the wii u controller buy-able. And if the wii u controller has extra-content on the screen, i would call the player 1 cheater.

we already talked about making an alternate controller becouse it would be to expensive with another master controller, and i think i got an idea that maybe would work.

release an wii u controller.....LITE!!! it wouldnt have the camera, sensor bar, mic and other stuff a second player wouldnt need.

i made a pic of my idea together with @Nintendofreak247's idea with mario kart.
