#65256 How do you think the Wii U mii characters will look like?

Posted by Randomite on 07 March 2012 - 06:38 AM in Wii U Games and Software

While I am for the clothes idea I am not willing to spend money on buying clothes for a virtual character. Having said that I'm hopeful that you will be able to unlock clothing through doing certain achievements throughout the game (much like the Avatar rewards on Xbox 360)

#65254 Bioshock Infinite possibly coming to Wii U?

Posted by Randomite on 07 March 2012 - 06:33 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Why are people calling him Kevin Levine?

Anyways I do want Infinite out for the Wii U BioShock is an awesome game (not so much BioShock 2).  I do think it will happen, but I think it's a case of how well 3rd party games are received from the consumer.  There would be no point developing a game for a system if it is not going to get bought by the general public, which has been the problem third parties have had in the past with Nintendo systems.

#63047 Best Graphical Games That would go good on WiiU

I'll just throw BioShock Infinite into the mix.

#63046 Nintendo direct 2.22.12

Posted by Randomite on 22 February 2012 - 10:10 AM in General Gaming

After looking at the video I had to look for Spirit Camera: The Cursed Memoir and all I can say is the trailer looks good.

#63037 Call of Duty

Posted by Randomite on 22 February 2012 - 09:30 AM in Wii U Games and Software

Yes, good Idea the killcam on the wiiu screen instead of the TV.

I want the same people devoloping the game as on 360 and PS3 versions.

Because on MW it was Treyarch on Wii and Infinity Ward on 360 and PS3.
So they were different.

TBF Infinity Ward are nowhere near as good as they once where and I do actually think if Treyarch ever got a chance to have a proper crack at a Modern Warfare game (not just a port but a full blown game) for all systems they would do a stellar job.

#61896 The wii

Posted by Randomite on 16 February 2012 - 03:30 AM in General Gaming

My thoughts on the Wii can surmised by this statement: The Wii will be the next Dreamcast. Not in the last hurrah sense,(the wii u proves that) but in the retro collector's sense.

While it is one of the most best selling consoles of all time, there are a ton of games that were just passed by. I believe that in the future that retro collectors will be hunting down all the games that they missed, and when they look back, they see that it really was a good system, but was bogged down by so much shovelware that they just couldn't get themselves to find that diamond in the rough.

This is pretty much what I am aiming to do with my Wii as we speak, though I am looking more for collectors editions of games (where there was collectors editions made)...Currently out of the 5 games I have I have the Alone in the Dark Collectors Edition and The Conduit Special Edition. I think further down the road some of these games will be worth a pretty penny.

I already see One Piece Unlimited Cruise Part 1 selling in PAL regions for 60 - 100 pounds and I think this game will turn out to be a lot more later on, much like Panzer Dragoon Saga on the Saturn which is impossible to buy for less than £100 pounds now and has been for some years now.

#61756 The wii

Posted by Randomite on 15 February 2012 - 07:20 AM in General Gaming

I actually re-bought a Wii quite recently, at 30 pounds it was a bargain and more importantly it works hehe.

I think the main problem was not so much lack of third party support more an abundance of shovelware for the system. The first couple of years I found it hard to track down quality games as the retailers seemed to fill their shelves with games like Ninjabread Man and other such titles. I do feel that during the end of it's life cycle it has improved dramatically though.

The good was the games, though hard to come by amongst all the dross there where some quality games for the system, games which where under rated and thus overlooked by a lot of people. Luckily for me while people are prepping for the new console I am able to pick up these games on the cheap. I got Fire Emblem for £3.99 the other day which is a bargain.

#61582 Playstation Vita Console/Launch Game North American ratings according to IGN.

Good to see a Super Stardust game topping the ratings according to IGN, I loved the PSN game.

#61416 Worst Video Game Fanbase

Posted by Randomite on 13 February 2012 - 04:12 AM in General Gaming

I'd have to say console fanboys in general, regardless of what console one uses...A prime example is on these forums with the whole tablet controller idea. A lot of the fanboys are like "Oh Sony/Microsoft are copying Nintendo" etc etc. I don't see how one set of console fanboy is worse as to be honest they are all as bad as each other.

Other than that I would have to say COD fanboys are terrible...They seem to believe any other FPS is carp (sorry if I cannot swear) and COD invented the FPS genre which is ridiculous.

#61214 What is the average age group on the website I bet I'm the youngest one h...

Posted by Randomite on 12 February 2012 - 05:06 AM in The Café

I may be the oldest :(

#61007 The game

Posted by Randomite on 11 February 2012 - 07:15 AM in Wii U Games and Software

- Activision: [PROTOTYPE] is good fun. I don't know how you'd make a sequel to it, but I want one. Or it could simply be in the same IP but not have much a connection to anything in the original. Would be cool to have DotA as an eShop title though... wait NO! I suck at that game.

There is already a Prototype 2 in development, April 2012 I think is it's scheduled release date...So it is possible

#60984 The game

Posted by Randomite on 11 February 2012 - 02:45 AM in Wii U Games and Software

OK I have a few more to add as I said I would.

Rockstar: Bully 2
Activision: Singularity sequel
LucasArts: New Monkey Island (Please)

#60983 Activision Support

Posted by Randomite on 11 February 2012 - 02:32 AM in Wii U Games and Software

While I do not like COD too much I do think this is great news...I hope they do port some of this gens, lesser known games over too like Singularity (it was such an under rated game).

#60240 New Totally Original Sony Idea!

Posted by Randomite on 07 February 2012 - 11:00 AM in General Gaming

I dunno guys. This was patented back in 2010 guys. It says so right there in the article.

Nintendo and Sony were probably both working with the same idea - Only Nintendo made it public first.

Pretty much this

#60239 What is your favorite gaming system?

Posted by Randomite on 07 February 2012 - 10:48 AM in General Gaming

1. Sega Dreamcast
2. SEGA Saturn
3. Nintendo Wii

5. PS2

#60228 The game

Treasure - Guardian Heroes Sequel
Capcom - Resident Evil 6
SEGA - Shenmue Trilogy
EA - Medal of Honor Sequel
Codemasters - Race Driver GRID 2
Warner Bros, Interactive Entertainment - Mortal Kombat

I can't think of many others, but I will add more when they come to mind.

#60223 Not-clickable sliders, an issue?

Posted by Randomite on 07 February 2012 - 04:39 AM in Wii U Hardware

Errrrrm I have no problems if the controller has clickable sliders or not, a lot of the FPS are mapped to a default button setting and can be changed to suit a person...It may take some getting used to in some cases but before long it becomes natural after playing a game with time played.

This is why I always recommend playing the game in campaign/Single player before taking the fight online as this gives a chance for people to get used to the button placement beforehand..

#60218 I need PS3 game recommendations. o-o (Details inside 8D )

Posted by Randomite on 07 February 2012 - 04:05 AM in General Gaming

I always recommend Valkyria Chronicles to any PS3 owners, is very under rated in my opinion.

#59870 Do you still want Miis?

Posted by Randomite on 05 February 2012 - 01:43 PM in Wii U Hardware

Yes, maybe have some games including Mii Awards much like the Avatar clothes you unlock on 360 playing games...I wouldn't add too much more detail and more importantly they SHOULD NOT include other companies adding the ability to buy clothes for your Mii. The simple reason being the Xbox Avatar Marketplace is full of overpriced virtual clothing.

#59416 Copycats

Posted by Randomite on 03 February 2012 - 11:30 AM in General Gaming

Why is it whenever it comes a new console generation, I seem to see the same Fake concept pictures claiming (This is the next console)...

The first image I have seen way back when there was rumours of an Xbox handheld device.

The Second image has been around since the Playstation 2, if my memory is correct.

#59415 Programmer here

Posted by Randomite on 03 February 2012 - 11:25 AM in Introduction Central

Welcome to the forums, am curious as I am learning some programming languages off my own initiative (Python, C#)  is C++ easy to pick up like C# seems to be?  Also, I don't like the idea of going back into education and such (as I am old :'( ) if there was any decent resorce sites online you would recommend should I decide to also learn C++ as a hobby so to speak?

Thanks in advance for the help.

#58906 What should Nintendo name the Wii U usernames?

Posted by Randomite on 01 February 2012 - 01:05 AM in Wii U Hardware

Well they still need to call it something. Even just plain old "your username" would suffice.

Hence the Username Game Tag or something like that is perfectly fine comment in my post :P

#58608 what you want from the wii u!?

Posted by Randomite on 30 January 2012 - 07:57 AM in Wii U Hardware

An Indy Games section, much like the Xbox Indy Games

#58605 What should Nintendo name the Wii U usernames?

Posted by Randomite on 30 January 2012 - 07:54 AM in Wii U Hardware

I really don't see the point in giving the username section some gimmicky name, Username, Game Tag or something like that is perfectly fine...Giving it some randome name for it would just give the Sony and Microsoft fanboys a chance to use the whole "Nintendo with another gimmick" argument, only this to me would be very gimmicky.

What I'd like is to see Nintendo giving us a good online experience rather than worrying about what to call the username section.

#58603 WiiU Renaming Suggestions (New Names)

Posted by Randomite on 30 January 2012 - 07:47 AM in Wii U Hardware

I'm in the minority and picked Wii 2, despite it's lack of originality I think this is the better name on the list. Wii as a name is a strong seller amongst the console market, th3e sales of the Wii prove it sold well...Adding the 2 shows the consumer it is the next console. I can't see Nintendo using a console name other than Wii [insert name here] mainly due to the sales the original Wii made in comparison to previous consoles such as Gamecube, N64 etc etc.
