Should the Wii U Games include DLC?

Before you read this, if you do not know what DLC means, it stands for "Downloadable Content." Okay, now you can read! :)

So based on the title, my question is "Should the Wii U Games include DLC?" I ask this because the PS3 and XBOX360 consoles let you buy DLC for games so you can get more add-ons and more fun. So if the PS3 and XBOX360 allow DLC, shouldn't the Wii U have DLC?

I think yes, as it will improve gaming (with more to be discovered as you buy DLC for the Wii U games) and have more fun. What do you guys think?

They will have DLC, it was announced already along with the 3ds. http://wii.ign.com/a.../1185257p1.html

Now we all no they will be companies that will make bad use of DLC and good use of DLC. We just have to wait and how each company will do it.

Yes, but I really hope they use DLC for actual quality expansions for the game and not, BUY THE REAL ENDING FOR $20 EXTRA!

DLC is a given, this next gen is going to be all about the amenities along with the gameplay. Consoles will not be about graphics the industry is past that point; DLC is a given and a must.

Well I am pretty sure that there will be DLC but I dont think that it will be to heavily focused on.

DLC has already been on Nintendo consoles.

I'm sure there will be DLC. As others have said, the 3DS will have it. I don't see why Nintendo wouldn't continue the trend on the Wii U.

No doubt it'll have DLC. That's a given. Even Nintendo is grasping the idea and is going to apply it to the upcoming Fire Emblem game for the 3DS.

Well Nintendo seem to be quite eager to implement it on the 3DS, so it's definitely coming to their Wii U titles. I just hope that Nintendo can make some quality DLC that's actually worth our money. Of course they SAY that they don't want to cheat us out of content with poor DLC, but since Nintendo's never handled this kind of thing before I'm just gonna wait and see..

Didn't nintendo confirm that DLC would be for the Wii U & 3DS?


Lol I didn't read this one before I posted mine. Yeah I'm pretty sure DLC was confirmed to be coming to 3ds so it should definately be coming for Wii U

i hope they'll be able to make GOOD use of DLC and not like some companies where they release a game thats not even finished and you have to pay extra for it :(

A great game to use DLC on would be the upcoming SSB games. I'm sure this possibility has already been discussed though.

actually they had dlc in brawl in the form of stages so i dont see why they couldnt do it for ssb4
