So I was thinking it would be cool if Mariokart for the Wii U, had a lot of stuff from the other games:

Double players (optional, some players can play separately and have different advantages, and vis versa)
Custom karts
Bob-OMB karts at the end of balloon battles
Tricks + bikes (not over powered to karts like in MKWII, and, once again, different advantages)
More retro and nitro tracks ( I know this is heaps, but 64? It is the number of N64 and the Wii U will be rather powerful, and HD)

My ideas:

More characters, heaps
Plus customizable characters, eg. T-shirts, pants etc.
Make your own track, ninty, if mod nation can do this, MKU can D:
Weather, it'd be awesome to race a luigi circuit at night, or snowy, rainy etc. ( this would be AWESOME for online )
An amazing online (obviously!)
And finally, of course, epic HD

I loved double dash, so having two characters would be awesome.

Your right, bikes shouldn't be over powered.

I kinda liked the Double Dash concept and I wouldn't mind it making a return on Mario Kart for the Wii U.

The other player uses the touch screen to aim items at enemies.

It works with the controller and with the nostalgia you're going for. This would be awesome.

I love all the other ideas also.

Your right, bikes shouldn't be over powered.

About the two characters it would be cool if the touch screen would be the second character's view and if you tap the screen you could fire your item.

You, mister, are a genius. I LOVE the idea of having T-Shirts etc. Plus you could customize that T-shirt by drawing things on it. Oh yeah and the changing moment of the day and weather are so epic. I like it.

Man, Man, you... you blew my mind... That co-op mode would be crazy. I imagine "Co-op play, Double the fun!"
It could work if they do a "double kart class". Like in MKWii, where 50cc was for cars, 100cc was for bikes and 150cc was for both. Each class would have advantages and weaknesses and it would be crazy.

Sounds good! I'd play it!

I'd also like to see some point-to-point tracks, not just looping circuits.

An example would be starting at the top of a mountain. Drive down a long winding road, picking up power-ups along the way to the
finish at bottom in a little Shy Guy village by a river or something.

and maybe accentuate the different styles of racing. Maybe more speed on the street courses, more rally style action in the off-road tracks, and so on.
