Why does it say Nintendo and not specifically Wii U consoles?
Is that just the op or is Nintendo trying to pull trickery?

cant remember the 360 but the ps3 sold 500,000 the first mont. wii u is almost 4 times that

That's not really a fair comparison considering the PS3 cost $600 at launch and the Wii U is less then half that price. Not to mention it wasn't the first of that generation's console having been beaten to market by the Xbox 360. The Wii U is not only cheaper but the first of the next generation.

If we're being fair.That's not really a fair comparison considering the PS3 cost $600 at launch and the Wii U is less then half that price. 940+340 = 1280 => 360 could have sold 1.28 million units if it had the same success in Japan at launch, which is never would have.

Not bad, not bad at all. Wonder how much of that is people sick of the past generation (360/Wii/PS3) and so they bought the Wii U to move into the new generation.

^^^ This ^^^ PS3 got off to a slow start due to high demand and high price but didn't have enough units on the shelves. And PS3 started off just like every other console with mostly ports and few exclusives. HOWEVER PS3 has LOTS of great exclusives these days and ports on it are usually of good quality with some exceptions.

i dont think its really fair too judge the launches as the wii has a lot of multi platform games available too it which the other two did not so its a null and void point too me plus its long term support that really matters.

Better than the first 4 weeks of the Xbox 360 and PS3 COMBINED! 270 thousand less than the Wii in its first 4 weeks.
What do you guys think about this? One thing that pops out to me is that the reason all those Wii Us are still on shelves are because of improved supply lines (Like Reggie said). Not because of lack of sales.
