#317086 Nintendo Distributing NX software kits to 3rd parties

Posted by Thugbrown on 21 October 2015 - 10:07 AM

@ Kokirii

I agree and think with the NX possibly being portable and home console will give an advantage as well to those who may enjoy one play option over the other.  This machine could be sold as a bundle or as just a portable or just home console given if the home console also uses a standard controller like the pro controller on the Wii U.  Consumers could have options on how they want to buy the console and if the NX is without a optical disk drive the console's price may be priced aggressively and more consumer appealing at say for example $249.99 for the stand alone home console or handheld version by itself or $499.99 for the complete package of both handheld and home console.

#315592 Devils Third. Bad news for US Wii U owners

Posted by Thugbrown on 30 June 2015 - 04:41 AM

I wonder if another publisher is picking this up for NA. If that is the case I wonder who it would be.

Gut instinct from what Tomonobu is implying on facebook.....

we will be getting the game in North America. I think we are going to get a direct for the game very soon. I asked a bunch of questions like number of online modes, voice chat, length of campaign, 30fps or 60fps... etc and he said that he cannot discuss those now (under NDA) but we'll see them soon.

I am thinking the same thing too that we may be getting a direct on this game here in NA and a release date soon.  I am very looking forward to playing this and to add to my collection.

I find it funny when people saw the clip showing the difference between the 2013 trailer to the 2015 direct, people started flip flopping calling foul and started to compare this to watchdogs and how it downgraded from the original showing.  Some even on other websites commented about wanting to return preorders and say Nintendo false advertise this product because of the bullshot trailer from 2013.  Did we all forget about what was shown over the past three months already?  The open world locations?  Gorgeous.  The huge Scale?  Gorgeous.  The Creatures?  Gorgeous.  Everything I saw was and still see is gorgeous even the character choice design that had to grow on me.  So what if it doesn't look exactly like the trailer from 2 years ago, I'm still going to play it, and it's pretty darn close to the old trailer considering all the other stuff added in and they improved on since then.  The bottom line still remains with me, I have yet to see anything like this game on any other console.

I can't wait for this game it is gorgeous but what is going to  erk me is that some people will down grade this game because it runs at 720p not 1080p and look past the seer beauty and scale of this game.  To run at 720p is still impressive to me because I haven't to see anything yet on the other 8th gen and even last gen consoles that had XBC X's atmospheric scale.  My hat goes off for the devs at Monolith they have truly outdone themselves.  Now if only we could get that bundle over here in the west.

#296502 Operation Platinum

Posted by Thugbrown on 21 August 2014 - 04:28 AM

HI guys,

I'm usually not the one for petitions but I am all in for this.

We all know with this current state of 3rd party pubs withdrawing their AAA multiplats from Nintendo because "mature games don't sell well on the platform" we need to make a stand that good games when done right will sell very well and not the cheap port with limited resources crap we have been getting.  Bayonetta 2 needs to be our flag ship game with a goal to sell a million copies it will be even better if we surpassed it to really give these 3rd party pubs the nintendo consumer finger.  So spread to word guys even if your not a fan of the series still spread the word to others that you know like action games like this.  BUY BAYONETTA 2 lets make this game go platinum.

thanks guys

#177002 Exactly how large is the power gap between the Wii U and the PS4?

Posted by Thugbrown on 27 February 2013 - 06:00 AM

Tbh this kind of reminds me of the ps3 hype over the 360 after both 2005 conferences revealed them and most people were thinking that the ps3 was going to blow the 360 away and the thrid party games were going to be better looking on that system...  We all know how that turned out.  This is just a wait-n-see how dev are going to take advantage of the systems they develop for and I honestly believe Wii U games will look just as amazing as ps4 but what do I know I'm not a dev .

#130953 The Wii U Surprisingly Portable (kind of)

Posted by Thugbrown on 16 November 2012 - 02:15 PM

That's cool, but it's a home console, I ain't lugging it round with me everywhere I go, it stays under my TV.

I hear you there but for me when I go on vacations or long trips you better believe I'll be getting my gaming on along the way.

#116444 Wii U's 1st gen game graphics and beyond

Posted by Thugbrown on 10 October 2012 - 08:20 AM

I can't end the debate but it needs to be said.  Yes when comparing the Wii U to the PS360 the graphics do look on par to maybe even better to what is out now but people need to keep in mind what they are comparing.  The PS360 are six and seven year old systems and their games look WAY better than what they did when they first came out (COD2 on 360 is a great example of this).  The Wii U is starting where these systems are ending which gives the Wii U a lot more potential than what people are giving it.  I just want people to see the big picture.  Wii U's  1st gen game graphics are equal to and in some cases better than PS360's 6th & 7th gen game graphics.  But yet we still have people who are complaining the the system is weak because the games look on par to games that are already out but is that a bad thing???  What we have right now are the Wii U's 1st gen games which devs are still learning the system and what they can do with it (that why we got ports), imagine what 2nd, 3rd, and beyond will look like when devs really get into the meat of the system and really push the Wii U.  This is just the start and though it doesn't seem like much to some, it speaks volumes to me because the games that are out now look amazing regaurdless if it is on PS360 it's a good starting point.  We haven't seen nothing yet and what we got right now is just an appetizer of great looking games on the Wii U.  Bring on the entree`!

#83554 New Wii U Pro Controller unveiled by Iwata

Knowing my cousins, friends, and brothers I'm going to be the only one to use the GamePad. They only like using the GameCube controller and classic Controller Pro.

more fun for us, I'm Gamepad all the way!

#73614 Leviathyn Article Claiming Several Yet Unseen rumors about Wii U - source ?

Posted by Thugbrown on 21 April 2012 - 01:32 PM

Once again purely speculation.  We can't get to excited or jump to conclusions just based on what someone put together from all the news and rumors he chose to believe.  One thing I can tell you for sure, out of all Nintendo's E3 press conferences Nintendo has NEVER went deep into specs on their systems.  To Nintendo just because the game looks pretty dosen't mean it will be good (prime example look at most reviews on Ninja Gaiden 3) it's always been about the experience, the fun factor, and how the game draws you in.  This is going to be Nintendo's focus as well as a few other things up their sleeve that we didn't know.  All these guesses that we are assuming may be right but as always remember most of these are rumors not from reliable sources such as Nintendo or any of their partners.  We are almost there E3 is getting closer and we can expect some great stuff this year no doubt.

#42606 Wii U predictions

Posted by Thugbrown on 18 November 2011 - 09:41 PM

Nintendo has a pattern I find it repeating in terms of it's console.  I've noticed that Nintendo likes to innovate then expand on power with innovation.  It did that with the NES which was innovative during it's time with the plus control pad new take in platform style gaming then Mega Drive (Sega Genesis) gave us 16 bit first but the SNES was a power house in terms of grahics in the 90's and trumped a lot of MD games in terms of grahics plus brought us some fancy mode7 fx for some psuedo 3D.  Then Nintendo moves fully to 3D gaming and introduces analog control and later down the road rumble.  Nintendo was inovating with the N64  bringing us some industry firsts for console gaming and game play for that time.  When GCN came along it was all about competing directly with the competetion so nintendo's focus were once again back on the graphics and the GCN did give us some great looking games that still look good today (Rouge Leader & RE4 I'm looking at you) it main focus was to compete with the PS2 but a thrid horse entered the competition that Nintendo wasn't counting on to succeed.  With the Wii Nintedo once again took the route of innovation and gave us a new way to play games and bring gaming to the masses so we can have mom, dad, and the grandparents playing along too while bringing back intrest back on their products.  Now we are in the last days of the Wii waiting for the Wii U and it appears Nintendo is ready to compete again.  I believe Nintendo is going to have some serious power under the hood of the Wii U and if not on par being first out the gate it will probably be close to the newer systems on the way from Sony and Microsoft in terms of graphics.  I believe that Wii U is going to give us some emersive and deep gaming experiences and can't wait to see what this system can so when in the right hands of some of the world's best developers.  What are Your Thoughts and Predictions?
