#177252 Sakurai's Arm Injury Impacts His Work On Smash Bros.

Posted by Crispy Bacon on 27 February 2013 - 05:14 PM

I dont care about his arms... his legs... his kidneys... his pancreas.... his liver....or anything else, as long as that creative glorious brain stays alive...then we can just strap him up to a machine and he can lay there for the rest of eternity telling us all his ideas :3

We don't even need the body. The brain will do just fine. We can pop it in this sucker:

In all seriousness, I hope he gets better soon.

#177066 Wii U sales fall below PS Vita's for the first time

Posted by Crispy Bacon on 27 February 2013 - 10:11 AM

Doesn't like.. 70% of Japanese households already have a Wii U?

If that were the case, Japan would have an install base of around 80 million right now.

Ugh, that's depressing. Games and advertising. Games and advertising. C'mon, Nintendo, repeat after me.

#176779 Explain, what is the appeal of Monster Hunter Franchise?

Yeah, I downloaded the demo, played it and walked away disappointed too. I won't give up on it yet though. I'm sure there is much more to it.

#176756 Wii U version of Watch Dogs will not be a PS3 or 360 port

Posted by Crispy Bacon on 26 February 2013 - 03:44 PM

A PS4 port? Wouldn't it make more sense to port from the PC and scale everything to take advantage of that console?

At least it won't be a PS3/360 port.

I believe the PS4 and Wii U versions will be PC ports. That's good because, as you said, they can scale the game accordingly and make it the absolute best it can be on each console. I expect the Wii U version to share more in common with the high-end platforms. Of course, that's all in Ubisoft's hands.

#176741 Exactly how large is the power gap between the Wii U and the PS4?

as much as i love the wii u, this is pretty telling.

This just tells me the power gap will be much closer than Wii---->PS3/360. Both look great.

#176627 Predicting what happens at E3

Posted by Crispy Bacon on 26 February 2013 - 12:09 PM

I expect, and hope, for Nintendo to come out and fire on all cylinders. I want to see bombs dropped. I want to see Retro's new game shock and intrigue people. I want 3D Mario and Mario Kart to blow us away. I want Wind Waker HD to look amazing. I want new IPs. I want third-party surprises. I want an E3 that will be remembered for years to come. :D

#176246 Zelda U Ideas

Posted by Crispy Bacon on 25 February 2013 - 03:44 PM

With the GamePad, I would love a Zelda game where YOU have to draw out all of your maps. This applies to the overworld and dungeons. Whenever you enter a new area, your GamePad will allow you to start drawing a map with the stylus as you progress. Any maps you create for any area/dungeon will be saved and can be edited at anytime. You can also mark the locations of treasures, secrets, character locations, … pretty much anything you want. This feature would probably be more of an annoyance for some gamers, but imagine the immersion and feeling of exploration you'd have. You would actually have to work at finding your way around instead of relying on pre-drawn maps you find in treasure chests.

#176170 Ubisoft LinkedIn profile points to Splinter Cell: Blacklist for Wii U

I think most expected this title to appear on Wii U. This seems to add more fuel to the fire.

I expect the gap to be decent, but nothing compared to Wii--->PS3/360.

It's almost like Sony wants it to die.

#174295 Dragon Quest X - New Wii U Trailer

Posted by Crispy Bacon on 21 February 2013 - 03:43 PM

i take it this game want meant to be taken seriously? and these look like wii graphics... >.> this also has a dbz feel to it.

Oh yeah. Dragon Quest is quite a big deal, especially in Japan. As far as the graphics, yeah, they've always taken a lighter, less serious approach to the series. DQ8 for PS2 also used the same art style as well. Still has a nice charm about it.
