Hello everyone. I am dkrumble725, as you can see. I am a serious gamer and lifetime fan (not a fanboy) of nintendo. I have done some LP-ing which can be found on youtube, and am also a fan of obscure imports and forgotten classics. I hope that my experience in this forum will be better in others I have experienced. a.k.a. Nintendo Life.

Rare isn't what it used to be. They made some of my favorite games on Nintendo consoles. The last good one they made was Starfox Adventures. Then Microsoft got their hands on it and something... happened... Pardon me for the pun, but there is a *rare* chance of them making another Conker's Bad Fur Day or Donkey Kong Country in their present state. I don't think Rare is worth the investment. Once again, sorry for the pun. NO! SERIOUSLY!! I'M SORRY!!!! WAIT, WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THAT KINECT!?!?!? OH FUUUUUUUUUU----XP

Hi everyone. Just wanted to get some opinions on this topic... Will Apple take a bold step into the console war, or continue in the casual gaming market that has given it much success in the past and present? What threats may it pose if it does?

I personally believe that it may be announced by Apple within the next 3-5 years. They have gotten involved in many forms of media, and home gaming is one of the ones they have left untouched. It seems logical that they will. They will be good competition for the existing companies.

What do you think?

I don't get Dead Space 3. The first two were only startling, rather than frightening, and the only thing that gave them that was the fact that you were alone. Adding co-op to this kind of game is just... stupid. But i'm still glad to see any additional third party support that might be for the Wii U, including this.

True... but keep in mind that Apple has changed since 1995. Then, their primary interest was personal computers. That^ is an example of trying to make money without the means to do it. When they tried to start iTunes with Sony, who had already gained success in music with the Walkman, they were turned down. Now, they have more market value than Sony, Microsoft, or Nintendo. They had no problem overcoming the Walkman and other players in the music market, what should stop them from entering this one?

(Just playing devil's advocate here)

I've never liked a video game based movie, but I think that this looks pretty frig'n awesome.

It's always better if you haven't played the game, but then it might just seem strange.

This is Mass Effect with Star Wars Plastered on it. The only way this interests me is the fact that the story takes place in the criminal underworld of SW. What we really need is the Star Wars: Underworld live action show. Not this.

You're not in what I believe is a minority. I too would like to see the kinds of games you described being on the Wii u, but I do not want Nintendo to sacrifice true enjoyment in the name of making a game more "mature." Nintendo needs to bring back franchises that we haven't seen in awhile, and make their stories more interesting to appeal to "core" gamers, while pleasing fans. For instance... a chrono trigger/cross sequel with the same great RPG play, but writing that pulls the player into the story. Too often, "immersion" is defined by high res graphics or gimmicky controls. And now I am officially off topic.

Funny enough, I couldn't even imagine the new SSB without online multiplayer, even though i hardly even bothered with Brawl's when It was available. Don't really care about 'tendo land... it's like wii sports... really doesn't need multiplayer.

It does if:
1. You are making it to be the lead game of the console, much like Wii Sports for the Wii.
2. You are making the main point of your console about gaming and networking as one.

And I think you meant online, because Nintendoland would be a shambles if it had absolutely no multiplayer.

Yes, I did mean online. lol. I don't think Nintendo will use Nintendoland as a main medium of displaying it's networking capabilities, however.
