#134598 Are the bricked Wii Us actually just on autopilot?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 20 November 2012 - 11:03 AM in Wii U Hardware

No-one can really tell unless it can be proven.

#134575 Is your gamepad rattling?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 20 November 2012 - 10:28 AM in Wii U Hardware

These might help: http://www.eggplante.../19/kunai-wiiu/

More self promoting. This is just plain trolling now. Headphones don't fix the noise problem.

#134564 You could download the day 1 update in the background all along...

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 20 November 2012 - 10:07 AM in Wii U Hardware

Someone already posted this somewhere over the weekend. Old news.

#134407 ID is locked to original console

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 20 November 2012 - 06:36 AM in Wii U Hardware

http://www.nintendo....our_account.jsp

Click on General info and then Can I Log Into My Nintendo Network Account on a Different Console?

In other words, don't set up your NN ID, until you know your console isn't bricked.

He's paid to be, that's why. ;)

#134243 Wii u Buzzing sound?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 20 November 2012 - 12:07 AM in Wii U Hardware

If it's on a hard surface, lay it on some cardboard and see if the sound goes away.

#134236 Custom Modded Wii U Pro Controllers

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 11:53 PM in Wii U Hardware

They just look like cheap mobile phone covers that you get off the market on the high street.

0/10 would not buy.

#134234 Is your gamepad rattling?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 11:49 PM in Wii U Hardware

Is there a screw at the back though that you can tighten, to help get rid of that noise?

#133930 Wii U gamepad mic supports in-game voice chat, but you need headphones to do it.

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 05:42 PM in Wii U Hardware

I wonder what the quality of the built in mic is like though.

#133928 Wii U gamepad mic supports in-game voice chat, but you need headphones to do it.

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 05:40 PM in Wii U Hardware

So people don't need to spend loads of money on a headset? Great news!

#133920 Download Huge Wii U Update in the Background while you play!

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 05:32 PM in Wii U Hardware

Anyone tested if this works?

#133912 Gamestop online preorder question..

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 05:20 PM in Wii U Hardware

See this is why it's best to go to an actual shop to get one, all sorts of things can go wrong with diliverys, plus you never know if it's been dropped or mistreated.

I tell people this all the time when people preorder and want a day 1 release, especially with electronics, but people don't listen.

#133890 Dont worry, This is normal

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 04:59 PM in Wii U Hardware

It's not 'normal' for anything to have things wrong with it. People shouldn't have to accept a $350 item being a paper weight. I think you should use your words more wisely.

It is not acceptable for Nintendo to send out all these Wii U's for sale, when they clearly weren't ready to be on sale yet, and should have did the updates in their factories before sending them out for shipments, because in the EU and AUS, it's gonna be the same damn story, as all the Wii U's will already be in the back of the shop in big containers.

By the looks of your username, and your picture, I'm just going to say you're probably a troll, and leave it at that, as you clearly have no idea what you're actually talking about.

#133885 Regarding update and slow navigation menus

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 04:55 PM in Wii U Hardware

All the videos I've seen of the systems running slow, are the 'Deluxe'/'Premium' versions.

I haven't seen 1 video of the 'Basic' version, except for an unboxing.

#133880 Is your gamepad rattling?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 04:53 PM in Wii U Hardware

I've noticed in 2 different people's videos yesterday that something was rattling, and I thought, "what the hell? Is that the Wii U?"

Here's the 2 videos I was talking about. 2 totally different people.

#133877 FedEx Rant!

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 04:49 PM in Wii U Hardware

Doesn't matter if you live right next door to the FedEx/other parcel company warehouse/centre, it still has to go through all the different processes before it gets to your house. Sorry to hear you haven't got yours though.
If it doesn't come tomorrow, ring them up and ask them where it is.

#133357 An honest letdown, but still hopeful

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 07:48 AM in Wii U Hardware

Video works for me, maybe press and hold Control and then hit F5. That'll do a hard refresh on the page.

We've done all that. The video isn't loading. Have you allowed it to be viewed outside of the US/CA? We're both in South East England, but both in completely different houses in our area. He's 2 miles away on a different connection.

#133355 Does the Wii U support the wii's ethernet adapter?

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 07:46 AM in Wii U Hardware

Someone said the Wii U doesn't have an ethernet port.

#133341 An honest letdown, but still hopeful

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 07:37 AM in Wii U Hardware

Starting to feel like I should cancel my preorder and spend my money elsewhere.

Here's a video I made showing just how slow the menus are:

This video doesn't seem to buffer for me, and linked it to a friend and it doesn't work for him either.

#133297 HMV - unsure of stock

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 19 November 2012 - 06:33 AM in Wii U Hardware

HMV are rubbish for preorders. You stand there long enough in the queue when you preorder it, giving them every little detail about yourself, and then you're there the same length of time when you pick it up.
Not to mention that they give you everything unwrapped out of its cellophane wrap and stuff.

#132771 Nintendo Charges 50 cent for kids to be on the Nintendo Network

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 18 November 2012 - 05:32 PM in Wii U Hardware

Kids will avoid this and change their D.O.B. It's bound to happen.

Kids don't want to go to their parents and go "I need 50 cents so I can play online on Wii U" as half the parents wouldn't understand and have a hissy fit at Nintendo. OMG U R SCAM WIV UR 50 CENTS.

#132761 For people worried about ZombiU..

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 18 November 2012 - 05:22 PM in Wii U Hardware

I didn't think anybody moaned about the game did they? Where did you see?

#132198 Us that have to wait for the 30th :(

Posted by x-SourApple-x on 18 November 2012 - 05:18 PM in Wii U Hardware

If you're just using it for entertaining whilst you're getting more money for more games, just stick with NintendoLand. That should be enough for all the family.

Does anyone have any games preordered and owned yet?

#132755 UberHaxorNova has the best Wii U unboxing video ever.

OH THANK GOD! Sorry xD -takes back the rude comment-
